Degenerate gamblers would love this place. Dimly lit, lots of TVs, live OTB. All while a Moose watches you. Oh the things that Moose has seen! I don't think I would have my wedding rehearsal dinner here but I would eat here again if given the opportunity. 5 stars

My husband and I are pretty low key when it comes to dates. We don't need anything fancy--we are happy to enjoy each other's company because it's the journey that counts more than anything else. To celebrate our 20th year wedding anniversary, we went to the Tavern Grille because it had great reviews and we've never been. The location is large with a lot of open, welcoming space. The bar is well stocked, and there are enough televisions to enjoy yourself but not feel overwhelmed by when watching sports. The married bartender couple were so sweet and fun! I wish I'd gotten their names because they are pure joy in a bottle. They gave us a wonderful conversation, and they were so sweet when I knocked over my drink and tried to wipe it up (bless my heart but I was raised to clean up after myself). My husband got the fish and chips while I ordered the surf and turf; medium rare for the sirloin. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the mashed potatoes were delicious. Ordering steamed broccoli can be like playing Foodie Russian Roulette--either because it's over or undercooked--but this restaurant nailed it. The greens were a bit on the softer side but not in a bad way. My shrimp was pretty tasty, and my husband enjoyed the fish. I can't say if he enjoyed the coleslaw because I might have eaten it without sharing. Can confirm it was delicious though. It has the sweetness from fresh jalapeños without the spice. I love spice, so it was interesting not to experience it. It definitely made the slaw memorable!I would definitely recommend this place and come back. If there was an option for 10/10 stars, this restaurant would receive each one.

I'm so sad to share an updated review for Tavern. It's not been the same since my last review and I think it has to be because of the staff. There has been some servers with bad attitudes and I personally think it's embarrassing when you see them talk negatively to others. I've also heard how the management has handled some situations and it just doesn't feel the same. The food is still great. I'll miss going here but I enjoy places where staff get along, not when they treat others with disrespect. If you want to bypass service and enjoy the food, still go.

Took my Friend here again for Brunch before Christmas, as usual, the food is good, the atmosphere is relaxing and the service was excellent. This is the perfect place to watch sporting events for those who live nearby. Ali R was our waitress this time. Ali is a fantastic waitress. Looking forward to returning here since it's easy in and out and has speedy fast service. Thanks guys!

Staff is friendly, they provide quick service even if you are not sitting at the bar, you can tell this place is fully staffed. I got the steak fajitas and the steak is perfectly cooked, it's so tender it melts in your mouth, very well seasoned as well. The atmosphere is great. I will definitely return, when I'm on this side of town.

We stopped here while in the area and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The restaurant is spacious; we sat at a high top near the bar on the right as you go in. Plenty of televisions showing the games in progress and a couple of other channels as well. The space is not noisy but on the lively side so you know no one around you is sleeping.Great menu selection and I had plenty of beers to choose from. The server was attentive and friendly but not overbearing. She was professional through and through and made our visit pleasant. We didn't wait long for anything.Food was great. Well worth the price. I look forward to going back.

Real simple and busy sports bar in Scottsdale. Typical bar food and menu with a lot of burgers & sandwiches. More conversation & sports. No music. Our waitress was friendly and super nice.

Excellent service. Our wait staff was attentive, patient (being new to the restaurant), and kind.It was a very hot day (119°) and the adult beverages very icy cold. Excellent brews on tap (the IPA I chose was excellent!).The food? My partner in crime is a long-time Tavern Grille patron, fan, and supporter. I had a southwest chicken salad, which looked deceptively tame, but was excellent. The side dishes? Superlative. No one makes better Mac n' Cheese than my partner, but their was every bit ass good -- and they had an outstanding number of different varieties which we tried. The prices? Considering the quality, presentation, and taste of everything we had, I'd say that the prices were very reasonable. YMMV.This last note is sorta out of order with regard to what was served, and for a good reason. As this was sort of a lunch meeting in which we had some business to discuss, we started off with an appetizer of onion rings. Not enough Ms in MMMmmmmm to describe these. Asked for them to be "extra crispy" -- and we got extra crispy. Many restaurants have onion rings on their menu, and some do a good job with them. What's difficult about producing good onion rings? The oil used might have come from Aunt Mable's 1938 Chevy; it can be poor quality; the temperature of the oil might be too low, or the oil might be 100,000 miles overdue for its 7000 mile service interval change; or, the company that made them just does a lousy job. These onion rings were perfect. PERFECT, I tell you.It was my first time at the Tavern Grille, and I'm coming back.
