The Good-Food is excellent -Easy parking-Dining In is on the classier side-Great Selection of items on the menu (all were great)The Not as Good-Service was okay but felt a little below what they were striving for based on ambiance / decor-Strip mall location feels at odds with the classy vibe -A little pricier based on other options in this vicinity Verdict:-Definitely worth a visit; esp for a date -House specials were good but sweeter and milder than I prefer. If you can handle the spice ask for higher than 6. I asked for a 6 and felt it was pretty tame. -A solid contender for delicious Indian food. I will be back for sure.

This is one of the best if not the best Indian food I've had in Chicago. Also some of the first and best alcoholic Lassi's I have ever had. I had the Tandoori Chicken, Tava fish Tandoori, Chicken Makhani, and Carrot Halwa for dessert. Anything that is a TAVA Signature I would recommend, but the Chicken Makhani was something to die for. I give this four stars however because the service left something to be desired. Nothing particularly bad, but it was not good either but that my be due to my group looking younger. The restaurant however was a very nice place to eat, and I very much so enjoyed my time.

Boy, I wish this place served better iced tea, because it is otherwise outstanding. Been here for lunch and dinner, and really enjoy the lunch-special bowls, which are large, beautifully presented, and a good deal, too. Best samosas anyplace. The dining room feels upscale, the service is excellent, and the overall vibe is classy but relaxed. An absolute gem of an Indian restaurant.

I've tried their food the first time through carry out and it was delicious. My friend and I decided to eat at the restaurant and the food and service was great! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We came around 5pm on a Saturday and it wasn't busy. Though I want to say 6pm seems to get really packed! We ordered the butter chicken, naan, samosa and saag paneer. Everything was flavorful and filling. My friend never had Indian food and they really enjoyed it. I'll definitely keep on ordering from them. Located in a plaza with a parking lot.

Love this Indian place. They have a big menu and a lunch special menu. I ordered the lunch special. It is so worth it. You get a huge portion. I ordered the Chicken Rice Bowl it comes with chicken makhani, chicken tikka masala, chana masala and salad on a bed of basmati rice. It comes with a side of Naan, plain and garlic. Their Naan is so tasty! Also ordered a cocktail. I ordered the Indian Mule. They don't mess around. They are served in a big glass and it has lots of alcohol. Well worth it as well. Highly recommend!

Excellent food. The service was good enough. The policy of no infants after 6pm is awesome for adults who want a quiet meal and not so much for families with young children - but, they have the option to eat elsewhere.

Indian food is one of my favorite cuisines so I was super excited to try Tava after seeing all of the high ratings. I came in on a weekday for lunch, and it wasn't crowded at all. I knew I wanted to try the lunch special so I could try a couple different dishes. To my disappointment, I was told I could not mix and match options on the lunch special menu. I could only choose all chicken, all paneer, and all veggie, etc. Ideally I would have chosen one item from each category as I love trying a variety of dishes when eating Indian food. I would suggest changing this model. I ended up foregoing paneer and choosing chicken which included chicken makhani, chicken tikka masala, and Chana masala. All the flavors were different and delicious. The cabbage salad helped cut through the richness of the chicken dishes. I would definitely like to come back and try some of the other options.

This colorful and delicious bowl of veggie curry's and rice was a perfect portion size on a cold day for business lunch. I loved every bite, $15.99 if locals know about this there are bound to be long lines all the way to the next county. The quality of the flavorful food beats any other bowls. The veggie bowl had a serving of channa masala, dal tadka and palak paneer along with rice , the meat bow had chicken tikka, tandoori chicken and channa masala with rice. We ordered naans on the side. Will certainly come back soon.

Stopped in for some butter chicken and naan for a quick takeout lunch. Service was slow, and it wasn't the most welcoming environment at first. The butter chicken was yummy, but was very sweet. The chicken was definitely tandoori chicken which I appreciated. The garlic naan was delicious! The Samasos were decent. Prices were expensive, but the place is very high end and fancy inside. The mango lassi was almost 7 dollars! I don't know if Id come back, but if I do I would definitely buy the naan and maybe a tikka masala! Id probably recommend a friend to come, and not do takeout and instead do dine in!

SERVICE: *****I've been here several times. Most recently with a group of six. It was easy to make reservations and we were seated as soon as we arrived at a nice, round table. This groups is unwieldy, comprising my elderly mother who has a rollator that has to be stowed somewhere, plus some gifts for her birthday. Plus most of my family didn't know what to order so when the server came promptly, I explained it would be a while so I could explain the menu to them. She understood and said to just wave her down when we were ready. She came immediately when we needed to order. My mom also can't handle cold water and the busser remembered every time she refilled water and continually refilled all waters at the table. Food came quickly enough. It wasn't until we were leaving that we noticed a sign saying they were low on staff and e questing patience. But none was needed. FOOD: *****We ordered: samosas, dal tadka, Chana masala, heritage lamb, butter chicken, malai kofta, and aloo gobi, plus plain rice and naan. Everything was excellent. It was the first time my niece and nephew had Indian food and they loved the lamb and chicken dishes. My sister loves chick peas and thought their Chana masala was excellent. I loved everything and was particularly impressed with the huge and delicious samosas. We also had dessert but the kids were fading by then and we needed to rush through it. I hadn't had desserts at an Indian place since I was a kid and was surprised how sweet they were since I don't have much of a sweet tooth anymore. The ice creams came with slivered nuts on them and unfortunately, my niece is allergic to nuts so she couldn't eat the deserts. For me, personally, I'll stick to filling up on the apps and mains and skip desserts. Overall, this place is excellent.
