Visiting Chicago and wanted to try something new. I kept seeing various Polish restaurants but I chose Tata's because of the reviews. Trust me, I was NOT disappointed. The food was amazing! I got the Polish Plate because I wanted to try a little of everything. I already have a love for sauerkraut and sour dishes so I thought it was phenomenal. My only regret was not buying frozen pierogi to take home with me so I could enjoy it at home. I had enough for leftovers but I finished the rest of it at the airport because I was too good! The staff was very friendly and patient with me as I decided on what to order.Decor is cute and homey! It's also very clean!Next time I'm in Chicagoland, Tata's would definitely be a place I'd like to prioritize visiting. I want to try the dessert pierogi!

Absolutely delicious! Totally authentic! The food is so good, warm and cozy. The variety of pierogi is great. They also have a lot of GF options as well. The prices are very reasonable. The servers are attentive and welcoming. But it is worth mentioning that the wait, for food, can be quite long. Originally, we ordered a polish plate to try in the restaurant but then decided to order some food to-go - it took around 45 minutes to receive that order. So the service is a bit slow but I still give it 5 stars because it's some of the best polish food I've had in IL.

Small and locally owned, Tata's Pierogi provides traditional Polish cuisine in a casual and relaxing environment. There are high tops, booths, as well as lounging areas to enjoy your experience here. They are located in an industrial area of EGV with easy parking and are open daily. There are several ways to order - via the kiosk, at the front counter with a staff member or online. My fiance and I dined in here for dinner on a weekday and used the kiosk to place our order. I noticed alcoholic beverages are not offered via the kiosk however this option of ordering is user friendly and convenient. We both ordered the Polish plate which gives you a variety of all the traditional favorites. Service was quick - A staff member brought out our order within 10 minutes. The food was delicious - I'm not very familiar with Polish food however I do know what good food is and Tata's Piergi is it! I really enjoyed the Polish plate as it gave me the option to try different things and at a reasonable price ($15). I left with a full stomach and still had leftovers to take home. Tata's also has a freezer full of pierogis for purchase to take home and cook for later. The options are endless!

This is authentic polish food! I loooved the variety of pierogis in the sampler. They gave one of each flavor, although I kind have wished they were labeled but they all tasted yummy! The potato pancake was good, a tad bit salty but I enjoyed the apple sauce that came with it.

Pierogis are solid but probably on the oilier side as they were drenched in oil. Location is kind of in the middle of nowhere but the place is spacious and our server was nice. Lots of polish families eat here so you know it's the real deal. They also sell pierogis to go.

I recently had the pleasure of trying Polish cuisine for the first time, and my experience was nothing short of delightful. The restaurant, which is family-owned, exudes a cozy ambiance that instantly makes you feel at home. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience. To begin my culinary journey, I opted for two different soups - the mushroom soup and the chicken noodle soup. Both were masterfully crafted, offering rich and distinct flavors that set the stage for the rest of the meal. The mushroom soup had a comforting earthiness, while the chicken noodle soup was a hearty and satisfying choice.Moving on to the pierogi, I indulged in a variety of flavors that showcased the diversity of Polish cuisine. The sauerkraut mushroom pierogi was a standout, with a perfect balance of tanginess from the sauerkraut and the savory goodness of mushrooms. The potato and cheese pierogi were equally delicious, featuring a creamy and flavorful filling encased in perfectly cooked dough. For those craving something beyond traditional pierogi, the kebab was a delightful surprise. Cooked to perfection, the kebab offered a juicy and well-seasoned meat that added a delightful twist to my Polish culinary adventure. As a sweet ending to my meal, I couldn't resist trying the dessert pierogi. The blueberry pierogi was a burst of fruity goodness, with a sweet and tart filling that left me craving for more. The farmer cheese pierogi, on the other hand, provided a rich and creamy indulgence that perfectly concluded my feast.Overall, my first experience with Polish food at this establishment was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was a testament to the culinary expertise of the kitchen, showcasing a careful balance of flavors and textures. The commitment to quality and authenticity shone through in every bite. What truly sets this place apart is not just the delectable food but also the sense of being in a welcoming, family-oriented environment. The cozy ambiance, coupled with the genuine hospitality, made the dining experience memorable and enjoyable.I am already looking forward to my next visit, eager to explore more of the menu and savor the incredible flavors that Polish cuisine has to offer. If you're a fan of delicious food, warm hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere, this restaurant is a definite must-try. I wholeheartedly recommend it and am confident that, like me, you'll be eager to return for another delightful dining experience.

Saw one of Yelp reviews about this place that serves Gluten-Free pierogi, so we thought to venture here to try. It is nestled in corner of a strip mall. The decoration and lighting of the restaurant created a cozy vibe.We ordered our food at the counter. Then, the servers brought the foods to our table. There were some condiments on the table. 1) The mushrooms soup is not gluten free as it has elbow pasta. It was comforting, and flavorful. 2) GF pierogi with meat and GF pierogi with sweet cream. The wrapping of the pierogi was just right - not too thick or too thin. I was unsure about the sweet cream, but I could it as a dessert. Come check out this hidden gem!x

Awesome little place! We had the potato & bacon pierogi, potato, strawberry, cheddar & bacon pierogi, and meat pierogi. All were excellent and were topped with small caramelized onions. We also had the pork cutlet with an egg on top. It was delicious! Everything was fresh and seemed homemade. Next time we will take home pierogis from their frozen section. Staff was very pleasant and pretty quick for the constant flow of customers.
