We came here with a large group on a Saturday night and chose the dine in + karaoke option. The karaoke rooms are decorated with a nice touch; our room was pink and glittery and even came with a hanging ceiling mic which was appreciated by the group. We ordered an extensive variety of food and drinks (our bill came to nearly $1500 so hard to mention everything individually) and everything we tried - from the hot pot to the many types of skewers and sides of stir fried veggies - was well seasoned, tasty and fresh. The cocktails we tried were made well too.The service was a little on the slower side, which we weren't fussy about because we were having a good time but something to consider if you are only coming here for food on a busy night and not karaoke - I noticed our server was getting pulled in many directions and feel they could benefit from having more staff on busy nights. We weren't the only large group there - most of the other karaoke rooms were full as well. It may have just been our room/an off night but the internet was quite spotty throughout our time there and we found the music was laggy at times. All in all it was quite a fun place to come for food/drinks with a group of friends and I'd come back for just the food as well!

This place offers food and karaoke (KTV) rooms but you can choose to only dine in as well. It stays open till pretty late so it's a good option for late night grab especially if you like skewers (燒烤). An important tip is even the mild spicy level soup broth was too freaking spicy for the hotpot for us, i'm not sure if it was because they forgot to adjust the spiciness level but something to take note of. The preset hotpot option came with a lot of items but I wish it gave you some flexibility to add or minus certain item. Overall, it had good portions and wasn't overly expensive.

My group booked a reservation for 1 hour of hot pot and 1.5 hours of karaoke. When we came in, the staff seemed disorganized, they showed us to our table and then didn't come to check on us at all so we had to flag them down every time we ordered or needed drink refills. The hot pot was decent; their system is unlike any other place I've been to where you get a small pot that serves 1-2 people. They put the pot elevated on a burner so it's hard to see and reach into the broth. You grab your own food from a refrigerator in a separate room with a confusing pricing system based on the color/size of the plates/cups of ingredients. We were most excited about the karaoke rooms which we saw on TikTok. Each room is themed and the decor is immaculate but it doesn't make up for how bad the karaoke technology is. They gave us a glorified iPad and we had to just search karaoke videos on YouTube. The app was broken so we couldn't use the keyboard to search for new songs.Honestly could've had way more fun just making hot pot and doing karaoke at home. This place is tucked away in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking out front.

Just discovered this late night restaurant and it's pretty yummy. I think most of the bad reviews seem to be regarding their karaoke but if you don't care for it, this place deserves much higher reviews. The waiters are friendly and the skewers, especially the beef + lamb + chicken gizzards, were so yummy. And for the price is very reasonable given how bad inflation is right now.We also tried the grilled osyters but it lacked a bit of salt there so it wasn't my favorite however just go for the skewers and you won't be disappointed!

It is a great place for those who love skewers. You can get them grilled and also them dipped in a hot pot style. We did both. The flavors were great, and we really didn't need to make our own sauces. They also have karaoke option available, and people can sing while eating. The service was pretty decent. The interior is well spread out and can accommodate a large party. Their medium broth actually has a good spice to it.

Late night dining options on the Eastside are rare. Thank goodness for Tasty Time. Grilled meat skewers and Tsingtao is really all I need. Our late night crew enjoyed hot pot. The self-service meats and veggies was efficient. The beers and shōchū were refreshing given the heat of the medium spice level of broth The service was very helpful. Just be patient. If you don't speak mandarin, then you need to be patient and forgiving. The food is worth it, and it's nice.

I forsure studied the menu before ordering. I also asked a lot of questions. I paid a nice penny for my order but I also got a large portion. Had plenty to go. We all did. My food was good. All the food we saw also looked and smelled amazing. Was happy they had so Manu sauces to try. A few of the sauces I've never even had. It was loud and hectic in the main room. Dark and all the above in our room. Be smart about what you order.Overall this place isn't exactly perfect in any category. Maybe a 4 across the board. But something about it is true in nature which makes this a 5. It's exactly as expected based on the prices and especially the amount of people inside.

Went here for my husbands birthday party and it was not it. First karaoke room that put us in didn't work. The YouTube just kept buffering for any song we looked up. Then they switched us to a different room and that was better but it literally took a whole hour to receive the drinks we ordered. Food was good but overall experience sucked. Would not come back or recommend this place.

I was craving for some Chinese skewers and was under the impression there was no Chinese skewers on the eastside. "Not so", my roommate told me. "There is one". And that's how four of us ended up at Tasty Time on a Thursday evening after tennis. Tasty Time had a pretty comprehensive menu so we got a bit more than just skewers. We threw in some sour fish, veggies, and a really spicy tendon stew as well. Skewers- These actually really hit the spot for me and really scratched the itch I had for Chinese bbq. By itch, I mean the yearning for bbq meat absolutely and unhealthily doused in cumin. We got the beef and lamb of course but also threw in bacon enoki, chicken gizzard, and chicken heart. Sour fish- They had a couple options to choose from and we went with the peppercorn. If you're looking for some spicy mala goodness, you should totally get this. You pick two meats to go in here as well and this might be a hot take but spam should absolutely be one of the meats you pick. Spicy tendon stew- Not sure what this was called on the menu since a friend ordered it but let me warn you that if you order something like this, you better be ready to take on true spicy. This one wasn't easy for somebody like me who's not ready for 5 star spicy to eat. If I had more time and stomachs, I would have gotten the dry pots as well. And If I really had time, would have checked out the karaoke and mah jong rooms too.

We wanted to go for a bday and made reso for a Saturday night birthday. We come in and no reso was recorded. We wait 30min to get a room and it was a room with YouTube hooked up to some mics. The room was nice but the first song we did cut out and started to play a Chinese song/ad.The food looked traditional and good. We didn't have any. We could have done karaoke at home. Maybe if we knew Chinese we would experience something else. We just wished they had karaoke machines or at least better YouTube software.
