This is an amazing authentic Jamaican food restaurant. It is located in a strip mall with tons of parking available. There is a decent sized dining area with a full bar with seating. The restaurant has kind of a hip club vibe, with Caribbean and R&B music playing throughout the dining area. They have live music on weekends. They serve Jamaican food favorites such a curry chicken, ox tail, Jamaican beef patty, curry goat, snapper, rice and peas, sweet plantains, jerk shrimp, and salmon. hey also have some savory signature cocktails to wash your food down. The staff there was very friendly and courteous. I ended up ordering The Jerk Chicken with a side of cabbage and sweet plantains. They bring you a bottle of water and a piece of their corn bread with your meal. It took about 10 minutes for my meal to be ready. The chicken was exquisite, so delicious. There is a bottle of jerk sauce on each table if you are looking for more. The chicken was tasty and flavorful, with a little kick. The cabbage was good, but different than I am use to. This cabbage was crunchy. The complimentary cornbread was really good. It had real corn in it and was drizzled in butter.I really like this restaurant. I like the vibe. I like the food and I like the service. I highly recommend checking this place out. I will definitely be back soon.

Tried this place for the first time because it was recommended. It was alright. I loved the full red snapper, it was perfectly delish. The corn bread was great too! We also got the oxtail and the fried okra which was meh in my opinion. The oxtails were just too bland for us and the fried okra tasted like it was fried in old oil. I definitely plan to give this place a second try though. There's so many other menu items I'm wanting to try that I'm sure will make up for not liking the oxtails.

Stumbled upon this gem while I was Dunwoody for a conference and recommended it to all of my coworkers. I always judge Jamaican restaurants based off the quality of their oxtail dishes & theirs did not disappoint! Oxtails were tender, flavorful, and plentiful! Every time I thought I was done, another oxtail would pop up lol. My only regret is that I didn't order the broccoli casserole. My friend let me taste theirs and I was hooked!! It's so delicious!!I also loved how moist and sweet their cornbread was too! Although they were understaff, customer service was still very kind and attentive.

I had lunch with my brother here today. It wasn't very crowded and parking was free and ample. It's black-owned and -operated. The food here is amazing, and I was little bothered that they were not serving brunch today but it's cool. The cornbread was amazing. It had that perfect crisp to it. The shrimp and grits are so good and I recommend adding dashes of the jerk sauce on the table to it. The Mac and cheese is rich, creamy, and substantial. It's some of the best I've had at a restaurant. The plantains were sweet and had a good crisp and flavor. I wooo definitely be back. Our service was spot on and our food was simply amazing and so flavorful. They also have a full bar. Bravo! Enjoy!

Ok. My mother and I have been here twice and let me tell you, it's beyond worth it!The food is AMAZING! The service and staff are friendly. There's a slight wait in between drinks and being checked on since the wait staff is limited but the service we did receive was great. There was a robot that brought us water, silverware, and even our food. The price is decent considering oxtails here in Atlanta are typically higher than $27, and a meat and two sides here are $15-$20, which is great. The temperature of the food, the portion size is even greater and shocking! You will DEFINITELY get a hefty plate and take some leftovers home! The ambiance is really nice and chill. Great music, there are TVs to watch games, a robust bar (which I can't explore but once I can, I will), and even the bathrooms are clean, just like the seating areas. I took home a Veggie Jamaican Patty which was spinach and it was BOMB AF!Yes, yes, yes...please give this place a try! It's well worth it!

I found this beautiful hidden gem called TasteeSpoon and I must say it was very tasty! Not only that the customer service here was great! Let's talk about when you sit down, they bring bottle water not that tap water. Omg the complementary corn bread! Sheeesh the best corn bread I ever ate! I'll definitely be back for Round2 can't wait to explore this menu it's only the beginning for my tummy because it's Tastee here!

Let me say, just say that the food here is really good and the portions are large. The staff are not the friendliest, but that is how I rate a Jamaican restaurant - the more unfriendly the staff is inversely-related to how good the food will be. On that scale, Tastee gets a 3.5 out of 5. You will find the typical offerings of Jamaican patties, jerk being served either with it without pastas, ox trails, typical sides - like peas & rice and plantains, desserts, along with non- and adult beverages alike. I will say that it is quite evident that the sit-down portions are larger than the takeout portions, which I observed on this last visit, and is disappointing considering the price points. The dining area is very spacious, allowing for the adorable mobile music bots to bring your steaming-HOT dishes to you. I would definitely choose dine in - over takeout - to enjoy the food at its freshest.
