We tried their: Dan-Dan Noodles, Hot and Sour Sauce Dumplings, Lamb Skewers, and Pork Dumplings!Everything was super delicious! My favorite would have to be the hot and sour sauce-- very savory and decadent. I would definitely eat the skewers with rice as it was quite salty. Everyone was super fast with service and helpful during our time there! The interior was super pretty to look at, which made our visit very fun!

OMG, I'm so jealous of the UW students and staff. Y'all have so many great eateries around campus, including Taste of Xi'an. Taste of Xi'an offers very authentic Chinese food, with an emphasis on Shannxi cuisine. We ordered steamed cold noodles with hot & sour sauce, Xi'an chili oil noodles, pork intestine, green chili stir fry, and eggplant in garlic sauce. Everything was so hearty and delicious, seasoned just right. We had to place our order through an app after scanning the barcode. The servers were amiable and came around to check on us a few times. The restaurant was spacious and clean and had a semi-open kitchen, which gave a pretty welcoming feeling. The food price is also super reasonable, great for the college student population. The only downside was parking. Being from out of town, I was very unaware of the parking situation around campus. It took me a good 20 minutes to find a legit parking spot. Overall, 10/10 recommend this place!

This place has cheap prices and is great for groups. There is tons of seating inside and it's a very convenient walk from UW. Their food is a bit oily, but for the portions and price, I think it's a solid choice. I tried their cold noodle, hot oil pulled noodle, and potato noodle. I'd recommend the potato noodle because the texture of the noodles is perfectly chewy.

Yum! This place has really great flavors. Recommend the hand pulled noodles, the fried green beans, and the pork bun ("burger"). Convenient ordering from an online menu after you sit down.

This has been one of our go to restaurants and U district for several years now. Never had a bad meal coming here and I feel like they tend to switch up some specials because I always see new items on the menu that I haven't seen every couple months. It is also one of the best places to get liang pi or stir fried gluten. If you have not had gluten and don't have a gluten intolerance I highly recommend you try this dish. It's such a unique dish that isn't served very many places. The space is really big. I've never had much trouble waiting for a table and the food comes out extremely fast.

We ordered the bbq pork chop skewers, chicken gizzard, hot oiled hand pulled noodles, and szechuan dan dan noodles, and the total came out to be around $40 (not including tips). Not bad for the price. The portion size is actually quite generous for the noodles dishes, but the flavor is lacking. The szechuan dan dan noodles only had an acidic note to it, not even a hint of Mala or spicy flavor is present. The hand pulled noodles had a great texture, but the flavor is subtle, I was looking for more of a punch of spices. Will not order the bbq pork chop again - if the pork wasn't skewered onto the sticks, I think I could have blown the meat off the table if I tried. It was that thinly sliced. Misleading description.
