I did one of those things where I drive around until I find something I feel like eating. Ended up at Taste of Thai in 4S Ranch. Everything we tried was really amazing. I was so impressed by how good it all tasted. The appetizer sampler plate was great and whatever the orange color dipping sauce was, it was perfect. We also had a beef curry and a roast duck pad Thai. Both were phenomenal. Medium level spicing is enough to let you know it's there but not so much you suffer. Finished off with the mango sticky rice and it was the perfect complement to the spicy/savory main dishes. Staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant is clean and modern. It's more than I expected and I'm already looking forward to coming back

We loved sitting outside by the flowers and the service was good. The Roti was really too oily and I had to ask for napkins to soak up the excess. The peanut sauce was ok (my friend really liked it having never had it before) but I would have liked more depth. We each went out of our comfort zone. My friend ordered the Eggplant with Fried Tofu and Vegetables and brown rice, and I, the Glassy Noodles with Fried Tofu and Vegetables. We both had the Thai Ice Tea.

This month our team lunch was held at Taste of Thai in Rancho Bernardo. Lots of tempting choices on the menu. I went for the roasted duck noodle soup with egg noodles. Nice snap to the noodles and a delicious mild egg flavor. I opted for spice level 1 and the soup had a ton of flavors. Duck was tender and full of 5 spice powder based flavor. This is my 2nd favorite duck noodle soup in town.2nd visit I tried the Thai chicken. Reminds me of the soy sauce chicken my mom made. She filled a huge pot with a mixture of soy sauce and herbs they cooked a whole chicken in there with low heat. Chicken was tender and moist, bursting with soy sauce flavor. Delicious. White rice was moist and I enjoyed the mild flavor.Water and ice was cold and refreshing. Their water filter does a better job than the carbon based filter I have at home.Staff was nice, attentive and efficient. Next time I think I'll try the fried rice and fried chicken wings.

Lovely lil Thai place located in the heart of 4s ranch!I usually feel like the food at nice, fancy, gorgeous looking places are subpar.. however this place is different! The authenticity of the food is incredible! I tried:- Crab fried rice - by far one of my favorite crab fried rice's I've tried in San Diego. Its definitely on the more pungent, seafood strong side for those faint of heart. But if you're like me and all about the flavor, then this is a must!- Kraprao Kai Khai Dao (Chicken): yummmmy! and comes with a delicious fried egg on top. I would order this again, its definitely protein friendly and very flavorful. With two people, we still had a good amount of leftover for both dishes. So its definitely portion friendly as well (:Parking is plentiful! Everyone is also very nice and helpful with recommendations here.

Came here on a Wednesday for dinner with a party of 3. We were seated right away, it wasn't too busy. The Thai tea was very good, not too sweet. The crab rangoons were also very tasty. They don't skimp out on the fillings! We got the crab fried rice which surprisingly had a good amount of real crab! We also got the pad see ew with beef, my favorite Thai dish. It was pretty good. We ordered the panang curry which was very flavorful and filling. It was hard to stop myself from more servings. The tom khar soup was by far my favorite dish. The broth was rich and flavorful. Very savory and almost addicting in my opinion. I couldn't stop eating it. I would definitely recommend ordering it over anything else. Overall I had a great experience at Taste of Thai. The service was good and it's a great spot to grab some Thai food in the area.

Top-notch restaurant. Clean and calm ambiance. Friendly and attentive staff. Had Tom Yum, Roti (where you may not find in any other restaurant), Yellow curry, Thai chicken, and Thai Tea. Everything was great! We'll be coming back. We miss the one that was in Del Mar.

I can't believe I haven't posted a review of this place! This newly opened restaurant (barely over one year old) is tucked away in a strip mall in 4S Ranch. It's more modern than the typical Thai restaurants, but there are a few bronze Thai statues against the walls as a nod to the Thai culture. The owner is personable and friendly. He always has a smile on his face as he welcomes his customers. Please note that a spice level 5 in this place is more like a 7! Alcohol: Mango Nigori. This basically tastes like mango puree but spiked! It's a nice balance with spicy food. Appetizer: Tom Yum Soup with seafood, spice level 5. This dish was spicy and had an abundance of seafood. Salad: Chicken Larb, spice level 5. This has always been one of my faves! I love that this dish came with cabbage so that you can put the meat in them, like lettuce wraps. It's fresh and flavorful, and the portion size is good for 4 ppl to share. Main: Chicken Panang Curry, spice level 5. I love that the curry sauce is thick and creamy. It's hearty comfort Thai fokd at its best. Dessert: Mango with sticky rice. This was served warm. Mango was ripe, and the rice was drenched in condensed milk. I was so full, but I managed to eat half. It was that darned good. It's one of my favorite Thai places in North County!

My husband and I had dinner today. We love Thai food. It was our first time here and we decided to order other Thai dishes that we do not usually order. We had Pork Shanks and Krapow Gai Khai Dao with Jasmine rice. We had level 3 for spiciness for both. We love both dishes. Both were delicious. We love the cook on the egg included in the Krapow dish. The restaurant was very clean and service was excellent and fast. Since tomorrow is Father's Day, they gave every male customer a cupcake. That was very nice.

I have had takeout here several times and dined in once, all experiences the food has been phenomenal in my opinion! My family has had the same experiences.I'm a big pad see ew fan - prefer it over pad thai - and I love the one here. It always hits! The yellow curry is a regular for us as well. I've tried quite a few dishes and have yet to be disappointed.I hope that everyone is ordering takeout here and keeps them in business - because every time I've gone to pick up my food it's been empty!! Check them out and keep them in 4S :) It's a great addition to the area!
