Wow, just wow.Taste of Lebanon is a reliable, delicious, and friendly lebanese restaurant located in Andersonville, tentatively holding out against the proliferation of inauthenticity in the area.There's nothing you won't like on the menu, and while prices have been raised, they're still leagues below the competition. My go-to order is the #2 vegetarian combo with lentil soup or a lamb kofta wrap, their falafel is always hot and fresh.Their service is efficient but friendly and accomodating, and eating a meal in their storefront on the side of Foster makes you feel at home.

An inconspicuous hole in the wall, Taste of Lebanon offers great middle eastern foods at practically free prices, for Chicago. It is cash only, but service was fast, and food is fresh and hot. Worth the detour if visiting Chicago's far north side.

Bad hours....good luck finding parking but above all I came at 2pm on Friday and some lady walked out, locked up and left just as we were approaching...so the hours on Google state 5pm closure, the hours on their website state 5pm.....Even in an emergency, can be more descriptive and say,, sorry for inconvenience but had to close early..etc...Drove all the way from far NW side to be met with a closed sign at 2pm.....

Chicken was a bit dry, but lamb was fantastic. Their toom was very sour and acidic- I've never had Lebanese shawarma, only Syrian, so maybe this is typical, but none of the people in my party could consume the toom and usually it's my favorite part of shawarma. Great prices so absolutely great value for $!

Cash only!Service: friendly, unassuming, and clean!Food: delicious! I had the vegetarian combo and everything was excellent, especially the hummus and baba ganoush. I also had the lentil soup, which was very tasty; I found it to be well seasoned and the perfect texture. My food companion had the chicken shawarma, and the bite I nabbed was also delicious. 10/10 will visit again!

Everything about this place is authentic. But, if the owners would take just one bit of advice is up on the salt for the Kifa kebabs they have so much flavor, it doesn't need all that salt. This is a five star Middle Eastern restaurant. Biting into any of their dishes will take you straight to the Middle East.
