Listen!!! Do NOT miss this culinary experience!!! Happened upon this gem tucked nicely in a bustling strip mall and we are sooo glad we did!!! As Chicago natives we are ALWAYS leery of someone claiming THEE city, but Taste My City is IT!!! Soon as we walked in we were transported to the Southside!!! We ordered a bucket of tips, some catfish, shrimp, mac and cheese, green beans, peach cobbler and cake. (I know...greedy) There was not one thing that won't become a part of our regular rotation. Tender tips, perfect fried seafood...hammercy!!! We got 'Chicago Style' wasted!!!Do yourself a favor and grab 3/4 friends and treat yourself! You will NOT regret it!!!

Loved the rib tips and kool aid here! It's hard to find a place that does rib tips in the west valley like they do! The wings are super breaded too.. which I love! The crack seasoning is tangy, sweet and has some spice to it

I ordered the large rib tip combo come with fries and a slice of bread. It did have that Chicago flavored. The service was good , the young lady was pleasant and helpful when ordering. The eating area is pretty large and bright inside. The minute I put that first piece in my mouth it took me back home. The ribs I had today was meaty and tender with that barbecue sauce. Yep! This is my city flavor!!!

So this was our first time here, it's in a strip mall so the inside is a little small with 5-6 tables. I know that a lot of the food here is fried which can cause it to be hot, but it's pretty warm inside, mixed with the heat outside it was pretty uncomfortable.My husband ordered a sausage and rib tip combo with fries, I had 2 pieces of catfish with fries, we also ordered 2 cornbread, a side of collard greens and potato salad.My catfish were small pieces. The seasoning was borderline too salty, I was able to kill some of the saltiness with the tarter sauce, fries were typical fries nothing special. The Potato salad was pretty runny, few potatoes and the mustard was over powering we didn't eat it, the collard greens I've been wanting to try for awhile now but this was my first time trying it so I really have nothing to compare it to but it was pretty bitter and very salty another side we didn't eat. The sides are pretty pricey for being a small spoonful. Cornbread was ok. Husband said his food was decent. After reading the reviews I had been wanting to try it and I left wondering why did our experience not seem as great as the others? I don't typically like to give a review first visit because there can always be a one off or something but I'm not sure we would even go back. One thing I will say is they were full and had a line when we left.

I just came from Taste My City and let me tell you... I am so disappointed. First off I ordered a bucket of tips and got half cold tips and half soggy cold fries. The tips were cold and tough and fatty. I also got baked Mac and cheese that has never seen an oven. Very much false advertising. Now I still need dinner and paid.$55. Presentation is everything and I should have known when the tables were dirty from being wiped with a dirty rag.

This food is disrespectfully delicious. Soooooo good you can't eat it with your shoes on you HAVE to wiggle your toes. This place is a must, it's a whole VIBE. The staff is personal and amazing. 5 STAR all the way.

Wish I would have listened to the reviews before spending $140.00 for this lunch for my staff. My order was 9 pounds of rib tips, ( 3 orders), 3 large potato salad, sauce on the side. The only thing that impressed me about this order was the service. The young lady was polite, made sure we had enough white bread for the rib sandwiches. The meat had no flavor, very fatty each bite, the BBQ sauce made it a little better BUT rip tips shouldn't need to be doused in sauce to make it taste good. The potato salad had no seasoning at all. Needless to say, I won't be ordering this amount for first time ever again UNTIL I taste the food beforehand.

I tried the rib tip and it was so delicious if yall want a bomb ass bbq come here .the kool aid was very good. the service was amazing I definable will be returning

Service is horrendous. Bad and uncalled for attitudes from both the cooks. Meat tastes bland unless you put a lot of sauce on it. It is extremely hot in here. Only thing decent was the music playing.

I drove from Goodyear to this location for some good food. They supposed to have Chicago style rib tips. They were very tough & chunk pieces. Not like rib tips in Chicago & I lived there 38 years. I also ordered shrimp with 3 wings. Shrimp were okay but I got 3 wings pieces that were fried in dirty grease. And menu said 3 wings not 3 pieces of wings It was 2:00 on Saturday afternoon & they had just run out of banana pudding I was going to purchase until I saw the price was $5.50 for a small pint container. Only thing good was the Kool-Aid. In which I thought was going to be watered down cause the owner had cups filled up on the counter & ready to be picked up when you place your order. Don't waste you time or money here.
