We were out wine tasting and hubby needed a quick bite & espresso pick me up so we searched for something easy. Service was great. They even gave us a little bag of dog treats made in-house for our pup. She loved them! Espresso was good, sandwich was ok. Not a large selection of food. But it's tucked into some wineries so convenient if you need a quick break.

We went in for a brunch one weekend and loved this cafe. We tried one of everything I believe. We got lattes, mochas, lemon bars, blueberry muffins, chocochip cookies, veggie breakfast sandwiches and the TBA sandwiches. We also tried their quince spread which was like a very unique and locally made jam. Food was great, service was quick and the ambiance was warm and cozy.

I do not often frequent bakeries, since I am gluten-free, but I noticed that Tarte had a Chai Tea on their menu, and I do love Chai Tea in the winter time.I also chose Tarte because I thought that it was about half way in between my 4th cousin and new friend Valerie and I's locations, but it ended up being a longer drive for her. Valerie mentioned to me that her food was very good, but I forgot to ask her what it was! She arrived a few minutes earlier than I arrived, so she had ordered before I got there.Today was my first time meeting Valerie. We met through 23&Me online late last year! I'd had no idea that I could or would make a new friend through 23&Me! I just did it for my ancestry results. When I signed on to the 23&Me website, I noticed that I could answer research questions to potentially help with genetic research, so I answered hundreds of them, and it was enormously fun. Then I realized that my 23&Me profile had the option for me to connect with 3rd and 4th cousins. Awesome! I friend requested about 20 - 30 ladies, and messaged with a few people. Valerie was the only one who lives close by, she lives on the East Side too! It is really amazing how much we have in common with such a distant DNA link! Valerie is working on trying to find out exactly how we are related! I am so curious to find out! Anyway... it wouldn't be a true Artemis yelp review without at least one lengthy irrelevant tangent. So, now that it's out of the way.... I really enjoyed my Chai Tea. It had lovely rich flavors. The service was very chill. There were 2 ladies at the counter, and they both had a very relaxed and pleasant vibe. When I was reading through the yelp reviews for Tarte prior to choosing it for Valerie and I's get-together, I noticed one yelp review that said that Tarte did not have chairs and tables indoors. Perusing the photos, I noticed a particular indoor mural behind some furniture (that was not chairs and tables) early in 2023, and I noticed a newer photo, from late 2023, in which there were chairs and tables in front of that same mural. Thanks to the yelpers who posted both of those photos - I probably wouldn't have chosen Tarte without those photos. Valerie and I chatted animatedly for nearly an hour and a half, and we definitely wanted to be able to sit down (and we wanted to sit down indoors - temperatures were in the 20s today) to leisurely enjoy our drinks and her baked item. When Valerie and I were getting ready to leave Tarte, I couldn't really figure out if I was supposed to bus my own dishes, and if so, where to put my large mug and saucer. When I asked one of the ladies who works there, she said that she would take it. So, I'm still unsure about where I was supposed to put my dishes, or if it was okay to just leave them on the table?Valerie also commented that she really enjoyed the ambiance at Tarte. I thought that the ambience was cheerful and uplifting, and everything was clean. I did not take any photos of the inside of Tarte while I was there. Because this was my first time meeting Valerie, I wanted to be fully present with her during our first in-person talk.I would go to Tarte again for their delicious Chai Tea, but I told Valerie to please choose somewhere else that is only a 5-minute drive from her house for our next get-together in a couple of weeks. And, as I said, I do not often frequent bakeries, since I am gluten free.I read on Tarte's website menu that they do have one gluten-free baked item currently, the Chocolate Cherry Cookie. However, I didn't see any gluten-free sandwiches on their current menu. Maybe something for Tarte to consider, perhaps adding a gluten-free sandwich so that people like me can have a lunch option instead of just a dessert option? In any case, Valerie and I had a very nice experience at Tarte today.

It's good, but it feels very sterile and almost Disney-like. Given its ties to Heritage, I would expect and would like to see more heartfelt "realness." It feels like it's done for the tourists. But the baked good are fine. Have lunch or dinner next door.

I highly recommend the cherry turnover! I had the rhubarb bar and that was pretty good. Friendly service. Lots of parking, but if it's busy, they have 2 dedicated parking spots for their business only.

Very good Bakery! The staff was very nice and their store was super cute and had a lot to look at while waiting. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, berry danish, cheese and ham croissant and a few coffees. They even had some bread to sample which was delightful. Would highly recommend!

Great little cafe to grab some pastries and goods. They sell high quality pastas for a reasonable price, and have other high quality housewares like wood cutting boards. The pastries are great, especially the muffins, scones, and other fruit flavored treats. Service is always quick and it's pretty mellow inside if you want to hang out. Recommend checking it out.

I recently visited Tarte by Heritage, and it was a pleasant experience overall. This coffee shop has all the hallmarks of a good, dependable spot for your caffeine fix.The coffee was good, exactly what you'd expect from a quality coffee shop. I also tried a croissant, which was okay--nothing particularly outstanding, but satisfying nonetheless. One aspect that really stood out was the service. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the visit enjoyable. Additionally, the ambience deserves a special mention. Sitting outside in the sun, having good conversations, and soaking up the atmosphere was a highlight. It's a great spot for a relaxing break or a casual meet-up.If you're looking for a place that meets your expectations for a coffee shop, Tarte by Heritage is a solid choice. Good coffee, decent pastries, great service, and a lovely ambiance make it worth a visit.
