Stopped in with a friend during a street festival, the bouncer was hesitant to let us in but we said we wanted to sit and order food - that was the magic line lol. I cannot understand why they would try to discourage patronage at the door. Yes we were dressed casual and yes that's pretty normal for a weekend afternoon around these parts although the ambiance is more upscale. Anyhow, it was about 4pm and there were a few other people at the bar. All the tables were empty so we took up two seats at the bar and ordered two glasses of wine (chardonnay and montepulciano) and two appetizers (meatballs in sauce and fried calamari) to start. The bartender was initially friendly but then sort of ignored us when we needed anything else. We did waive him down to order a second round of drinks (my friend got a pomegranite spritz and I had a lychee vodka). Both of these drinks were way too heavy on ice which of course meant less actual drink. Why do restaurants do this when they charge $15+ per drink? The download on the appetizers: the meatballs were good but the sauce was bland and needed something, so we asked the barback for salt and crushed red pepper. That took the flavor up a few notches! There were only three meatballs so not overly big. The calamari was really good and a plentiful portion but it didn't include any sauce or dip and we has to ask for lemon which should be standard with a seafood item at an Italian place. We considered staying for entrees but since the service was lackluster, we decided to go back to the street festival and get something from the food vendors. The ambiance is quite lovely and I think on a normal non-festival weekend it would be a totally different experience. I love the exposed brick walls and wood floors. It adds to the rustic Italian style. I'd be on board to go back for a full meal.Ambiance 10/10Food: 8/10Service 4/10

Booked a 6:15 reservation on Friday night. Plenty of open seating inside the dining room. The patio was full. Garlic bread and Caesar salad for an app. Chicken Parm and a pasta for our entree. The food was good but not great. The service was extremely slow and we felt like they forgot about us. The atmosphere was nice but so glad it wasn't crowded in the dining room or it would have taken away from the charm.

Stumbled in after exploring mayfest and was excited to finally try the place! I had a nice glass of montepulciano wine with the start of the meal. We shared the burrata dish to start, which was delicious and fresh. We also got the crispy Brussels for the table, which were so tasty and crispy and huge portion. My boyfriend and I split the arugula salad and black linguini, both were excellent portions. The arugula salad was light and refreshing, and the black linguini was just a little too salty but with tasty quality seafood and cooked well. I also tried my friend's fusilli, which had a nice delicious creamy red spicy sauce and cooked perfectly as well. We ended the meal with some tasty espresso martinis. Great ambiance and service too.

Lots of unnecessarily creamy sauces drowning your food, definitely not even close to true Italian cuisine.

Very cute Italian style restaurant. Dim lit interior with nice decor and very nice outdoor seating with cute string lights. Our server was very kind and amicable. Food came out fast although it wasn't very busy. Would have like if the rigatoni was a bit more cooked but overall was great. Recommend the salad. New Zealand grape wine is also good for people who like something casual and smooth. Come here for a nicer - but not ridiculously expensive - time with friends or family :)

Extremely confused by the high reviews. We ordered several dishes to eat family style and try different dishes. The appetizers/sides were quick, but the mains came out extremely slow. None of the dishes were worth the wait- subpar and flavors were lacking. Meatballs were lukewarm. Truffle fries were soggy. Pappardelle tasted like Chef Boyardee ravioli sauce. The Orecchiette special was completely bland. The Black Linguine was not spicy, and the mussels were overcooked. The best dish was the Crispy Brussels Sprouts, but to our surprise, they were LEAVES. There was ONE TINY Brussels Sprout still intact. We unanimous agreed it was a disappointing experience. Aside from the Brussels Sprouts, not one dish was finished! I really wanted to like this restaurant more, but it was way overpriced for what it was.

TL;DR: Easy to obtain reservation, smaller restaurant, good pasta entreesWe were able to get a group reservation for 8 the day before. The interior was a little narrow and small, but you would have no idea because they use mirrors to their advantage. The Fusilli pasta was good, but would have enjoyed a thicker, creamier sauce. Their Spaghetti Carbonara was good and I liked having the spaghetti noodles rather then the usual thicker noodle. The vibes were dark, but cozy.

First time here and it was great. I came on a Saturday night and sat on the patio. We made a last minute reservation and the restaurant was able to accommodate, I would recommend calling the restaurant directly instead of using the apps because resy said no reservations until 8pm but the restaurant was able to accommodate us immediately at 6:45. It was windy but nice. The outside atmosphere was really great perfect for a date or just a nice dinner. We had the garlic bread and a salad as a stater and then we got the chicken parm and the rigatoni as our main. We then had the profiteroles to finish out the night. Everything was great. The service at times was very slow, like when getting drinks and having our waitress check us out at the end. Also the rigatoni had BIG chunks of pork in it, was not a fan of that but that's more of a personal preference thing. Will be back again, overall great neighborhood place.
