Taquizo - what a time twas had! Came here for a birthday brunch and we arrived on time only for our table not to be prepared. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated (that's the reason for the 4 stars). Our sever was sweet and patient. She catered to our group and made sure our food arrived within a reasonable time frame. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was good but super greasy. I mean like oil was dripping from the burrito onto the plate. Not sure if it was the pico de gallo juice or the oil from the chorizo. The side breakfast potatoes were bland and not crispy. My drink was really good and a solid pick. That had to be my favorite thing of the evening. I enjoyed myself and the Mexican candy shot. A couple of those will have you feeling just right. And they're reasonably priced for a shot. Another fault that was honestly my fault because we didn't ask before getting were the shots. We got a round of tequila shots. They billed us $16/ piece for a shot of casamigos. The darn bottle ain't even that much. I felt bamboozled and I wasn't even drunk. I am not sure I'll return as the other menu items don't draw me in. This is literally a place to go if you want to get drunk. The space is too small to even get good photos.

Love mexican cuisine, and wanted to try this spot out. This spot is more upscale mexican food, and has a cute little dining area which i assume is better in the daytime/ summertime for the ~ ambiance~. Now the food was just okay, and sometimes just overly salty. My favorite thing i tried was the octopus dish (really delicious, and cooked well). I also got the birria tacos, which was a big no (very salty and the consume was not the best). The elotes and fried potatoes were okay as well, nothing spectacular. I've seen on social media that they have fun & aesthetic cocktails, but didn't try any when i went . Service was a bit slow, but that's because it seemed like they were short staffed (unfortunately everywhere is these days).

Great brunch spot in wicker park. I came with some friends for a birthday party brunch, and it was really nice. They sat us in the back room, which has a nice vibe and is very well lit with natural light. We all ordered the bottomless mimosas, which were $17 per person. I tried the breakfast burrito, which was solid. The food and drinks were decent and the prices were pretty standard, not bad. I think it was a good experience overall.

Came to Taquizo because they were part of the tacos and marg bar crawl and even though the margaritas were good and the tacos as well, the service was so bad it was hard to even enjoy it. It's a rare sunny Chicago day and they didn't have any sign that indicated the bar crawl is only in the front part of the restaurant and the patio is only for those with reservations, but weren't very friendly when telling us we couldn't sit there. We were also sitting there for about 5 - 10 minutes and for an area that's for reservations, no one even came to try and serve us. And in the front there was hardly any seating, no lighting and so we had to eat our tacos standing up. Tacos and margs were yummy, but wouldn't come back

One of the best brunch experiences in Wicker Park and Logan Square. Live dj playing videos with music to match in the front room also has a bar with tvs showing live sports. Staff was friendly and in point. My server was Carlo and he made great recommendations so I tried the steak skillet. The meat was tender and diced into cubes with potatoes, onions and 2 eggs over easy on top. The bottomless mimosa is $17 and was topped off as soon as it was empty. All staff jumped in and made sure your glass was full. Food was delicious and great vibes/ambiance with good service!!!

Unique and fun spot in Wicker Park. I think atrium seating rather than cantina seating is the way to go, but other than that great. The waitstaff was kind! We got some good drinks (Pic of my friend's special rose drink attached) and enjoyed their guacamole as well. The shrimp tacos were great and I also enjoyed the pastor as well! Tasty tacos and not too crazy expensive. Plus great location for heading to dessert or other bars after.

Bad service, food was bland, super loud like a nightclub. Do not recommend for brunch/bottomless mimosas. Takes forever to get service.

Had a reservation and was sat fast. The only downside was we had to sit upfront due to a reservation for 3 people, and only tables of 2s were available in the back. It was cold, so couldn't fully enjoy having to knave our jackets on. Did the bottomless mimosa, and it did take a little time to refill the drinks in the 90-minute window, but the flavors offered were nice. The food was good as well. There was also a DJ Saturday for brunch. They automatically add a 20% tip, and if you pay by credit card, the fee is 3%.

We had a reservation on Sunday for 6 people and were seated about 15-20 minutes after the reservation time. It was busy and I'm not the type to really complain, but eventually we got seated in the beautiful back room where the sun shined through. I will say that it was extremely hot back there on a sunny February day. Service was meh. Our server was nice and you could tell she was swamped taking care of a lot of different tables so I felt bad for her - however one of our friend's food took much much longer to come out and she had to get up and walk over to the staff members to ask for it. It seemed like it was a forgotten dish. The worst part is that the taco itself wasn't very good and we all tried and agreed it wasn't yummy. I ordered the breakfast burrito and I'd rate it okay! It wasn't amazing but not bad at all. My friend ordered the Octopus and that was delicious! For the $12 bottomless mimosa deal (with purchase of an entree) you're truly getting a great deal - however considering the food options, and the service we had wasn't the greatest (plus how hot it was in the back room), I don't know if I'd go out of my way to come here.

Me and my wife visited on a Saturday night for a date night and it was mot overly crowded so it felt like a good spot from the beginning. The waitress was phenomenal, she was attentive, knew so much about the menu, and was able to make good recommendations on the drink menu and food menu. The food was 10/10! It was so good and flavorful. The drinks were also well crafted. It was a great spot for a date night or a place to bring folks who you want to impress with good food. We will definitely be back!
