LOS REYES TAQUERIA!WHAT!Not to be confused with Los Reyes Catolicos, which is a Tears For Fears song... by one of the best bands in history.Located several miles East of downtown, which is good if you want to see sunlight, because in DTHTX you will never see Reyes. The buildings are just too f***ing tall for the light to get through. The reyes of the sun are blocked out by towering infernos. Only without the infernos. Hopefully.I was shocked by the dreamy and miraculous taste of the tacos here. But not that shocked, because Houston has probably the best Mexican food in the whole country, all things considered.This is yet another place that has tacos from absolute heaven. The Carnitas and Barbacoa are absolutely some of the best I've ever tasted. I wasn't a big fan of the Carne Asada which is kind of cold and hard and dry, but that Barbacoa (or what she recommended, I can't remember honestly, I was too blown away by the taste to remember to ask), was miraculous. This is definitely a place I now come regularly for amazing tacos. The Tortas are good, but they're not amazing. I would definitely go with the tacos and the handmade flour tortillas.Wonderful Mexican food. Obviously the owners were Reyesed right.

Really cute place! Very clean, cute decorations remind us of the Mexican restaurant we used to go to all the time in our old hometown in Oregon. The charro beans they start you off with are so flavorful. The chips are fresh, the salsa was a little watery. The fajita meat, both beef and chicken, was very flavorful. Everyone was happy and all agreed to the 5 star rating.

We have visited Taqueria Los Reyes many times over the years. It is definitely one of those spots that we get excited to stop in any time that we are in the area. The parking situation is a bit sketchy, but with a little patience it is not a big deal...the food makes it all worth while. The staff is always friendly and works quickly to get orders out. If you come here with breakfast in your heart, we recommend the following plates:- Huevos a la Mexicana - Huevos con chorizo- Machacado a la mexicana- Chilaquiles or Chilaquiles mexicanos (subtle differences but both tasty)- EntomatadasIf you come for lunch or dinner style meals, we recommed the Los Reyes Taquitos:- Al pastor- Trompo- Barbacoa- Beef fajita- ChicharonThere is a constant flow of customers, the food always tastes fresh. If you are in the area, give them a try. They are definitely worth visiting.

The food wasn't any good, they lied to me saying that their menudo was homemade. They also charge 20% tip and 3.9% admin fee without letting you know. This was my first and last time coming to this place, I advise everyone who goes to ask for a receipt before paying.

Very tasty tacos at this place. I had 1 beef 1 pork and 2 chicken fajita tacos on handmade corn tortillas. Nice presentation, and each taco is delicious. Hard to pick a favorite taco. If you've never eaten here, it's a must try.
