Taqueria El Trompo

I'm always hunting for places that do El Trompo (see pics if you dont know what el trompo is). Places like this are rare and hard to find. This restaurant feels very similar to places in Mexico where I first was turned on to authentic al pastor. Very little English spoken here between staff and customers which is a plus in my book when you want authentic. They didn't have a pineapple on top dripping on the meat but they did put pineapple in the tacos and I do like places better when they let the pork carmelize and crisp up more before carving it off. Here they carve it off earlier and finish on the griddle, BUT I am just glad to see another place doing al pastor the right way. 5 stars I will be back.

Best tacos al pastor you can find. You see the trompo as you walk in. Many other meats available, carne asada being my second favorite. The staff are super friendly. Yes this place can get packed, so make sure you order ahead for pick up, or wait patiently. Feel like you're in Mexico!

Really good little hole in the wall. The carne asada and pollo tacos were just ok but their specialty, the al pastor en el trompo was delicious. I would gladly get 5-6 of them next time! Salsas and fixings on point, as well as the service!

A family member recommended this place for their pastor tacos so we had to stop by. We went on a Friday evening and it was very busy which is a great sign for a good place. We were excited to try their pastor tacos which were topped with fresh pineapple. They were pretty good. I also ordered the asada tacos but the meat quality was not the best. What really stood out here was the chicken flautas. They were amazing and the reason I will be back.

As a mexican that has eaten some of the best tacos around all of mexico, I must say this place stacks up with best of them. The Al pastor and suadero can go toe to toe with any taco stand in Mexico City. The green salsa reminds me of the salsa that is served in Mexico City taquerias. The service is not only quick but the food comes out ripping hot. If you want authentic mexican food stop in experience real mexican food for yourself

One of the best taco spots in the west valley. The service is great, wait time not too bad and the food speaks for itself. I had the Al pastor tacos and the tripa, some of the best i've found out here.

Muy buen servicio, es increíble como mantienen un servicio tan rápido con tanta gente, a mi me queda a 20 mins. De distancia pero vale pena. Y muy buenos tacos! Vale la pena ir hasta allá.

I can not express how amazing the food was !! Jennifer is who took our order was kind we pretended that we didn't speak Spanish, she spoke English for us. The waiter did the same thing he spoke English for us too! You walk in and you smell the delicious food cooking ! The restaurant was clean and the FOOD OMG !! WE WILL BE BACK !! Me and my buddy are big boys and we got full !! Prices are really good ! This was one of the best experiences we've had in a while!

The pastor tacos are great. The service is good if you know how the system works. You pick a table and remember to see the number of your table on the wall cause you need this to pay.
