Taqueria El Taco Maestro

Four tacos and a beer. $18. Full, but not uncomfortably so. Adobada, Asada, Cabeza and Carnitas. All flavorful and's delicious. Cabeza was the best, so so tender. Will be back

Solid taco joint with unbeatable prices. There's a lot of Mexican places in the Renton highlands so prices can be competitive but to be honest, I haven't seen any other place in the area with taco prices like these. Feels like pre-Covid prices, to be honest. Meat and veggies tasted fresh and the tacos are simple, no frills. I'm not a fan of a ton of toppings so it's my kind of joint. I haven't gotten anything other than tacos here so that's what my review is on. :)

We had 8 tacos (4 beef, 4 spicy pork) and they were amazing. Also had beef nachos and they were very cheesy and plenty of beef. They don't go short of ingredients. Felt very full and happy.

Welp, my very Texan fiancé wanted tacos when we were visiting family in Seattle so I looked up Yelp reviews and alas we made it to Taqueria El Taco Maestro cause they were close and had amazing reviews. Place was a bit dirty.. in a strip mall type setting.. I think a few people solicited me outside for money. We placed an order online and the lady barely understood me.. and there was a line to the door when I got there to pick up my very large order. Seems promising right?! Wrong! The tacos were just ok. Meat was flavorful, tacos were small.. I just couldn't say any of the tacos stood out though. I've had cheaper, more tender tacos, loaded with a lot more filling.. but then again, no one can really beat tacos from Texas! Maybe we'll try some other place next time we're in town.

Went in search of authentic tacos for my husband's birthday after just moving to the PNW from LA & this place did not disappoint! My husband had the asada burrito & pollo taco, while I had the camaron, asada, & pastor tacos. The pastor and asada were the standouts for me--very flavorful meat, double tortillas, & I appreciated that they already added the cilantro and onions. I was expecting the shrimp to be more seasoned like I was used to or maybe to have crema, but it was still pretty good when I added the spicy tomatillo salsa. Horchata was homemade & delicious! It's a bit of a drive from where we live, but worth it!

This is one of the best taco spots in the Seattle area, no doubt. It's super authentic, affordable, and delicious with a large menu. It's definitely a no-frills place with kind service. I'll definitely stop by here again if I'm ever in the area because these tacos really hit the spot!

Wow. I was dying to try the burger place next door but glad as hell hey turned me away 10 min before closing. El taco Maestro is legit. The staff were great. The service was fast and they even hooked me up with a hot cocoa like drink(not going to try to mess up its name but soooo good) on the house. The Pizzabirria ridiculous. Its huge and the Birria is satisfyingly rich and flavorful. Im super impressed by their red salsa too. Hot enough to remember but still enjoy with great flavor! Im soooo coming back soon. Gracias, You are truly the Maestros in the Highlands!

We came in on Sunday afternoon for a quick snack. Our host was short and sweet but their tacos really hit the spot. Their house made hot sauces are wonderful too. We were in and out within 15 minutes. Had we had bigger appetites, we would have stayed for longer!

birria de chivo was fantastic today, tender and flavorful like it should be. the new handmade tortillas were a great surprise, this is by far the best taqueria in greater seattle for nothern mexican cuisine! been coming here for over 15 years and so happy to see how successful they are!
