Taqueria El Ranchero

The stars aligned and finally Cinco de Mayo fell on a Taco Tuesday. They had a special booth set up selling elote. I couldn't resist. I absolutely inhaled the corn, cheese, mayo, and hot sauce off of the cob like a vacuum cleaner possessed by a hungry demon. Next came four tacos. I would rank the variety as follows: 1.carnitas 2. al pastor 3. lengua 4. pescado. I'm usually a huge tongue fan but I thought the pork was quite a bit better. The fish taco was ok but I'm pretty sure they use tilapia which is a poop sucking garbage fish in my opinion. Retrospectively I think I would have gone with three carnitas and one lengua for variety. Four tacos were $7. My fiancée had a vegetarian macho burrito with rice, beans, cheese, tomatoe, avocado, and enchilada sauce. Not the best burrito I've ever had but definitely serviceable, and big to boot. Prices have gone up over the years looking at old reviews, but still a good value. I'd definitely eat here again for some cheap tacos that do the trick.

It's not like me to go out of my way to write a bad review on a business, but my experience was so terrible. First of all, my order wasn't complete and was missing an item, but that's not what made my experience with this establishment so horrendous. The food was extremely bad. I don't know if it's under a different management or if budget cuts were made, but the food I got did not look anything like the review photos I saw on yelp and google from past customers. The so called fish in the fish taco we got was so pale and so bland that I thought it was the tortilla. The carne asada was beef jerky at best. The rice, beans, and tortillas were mushy. Everything was so shoddy. To top it off I found a piece of hair in my food that was disturbingly coarse and curly. I don't even want to know where it came from. I wish I took a picture of what was given to me, but when I found that hair my soul left my body. Eat at your own risk. There are plenty of other Mexican food places in Seattle with great food and no hair.

My coworker introduced me to this non-mobile food truck a couple months ago. My first time there I fell in love with it. And now I crave it at least once a week. 4 tacos for $5 is a bargain and worth an average lunch time wait. I highly suggest the steak and chicken tacos but also enjoy the pork as well. I am a hot sauce connoisseur and I am a firm believer in "the hotter the better", their habanero sauce is FIRE! My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it! So good!

$1.25 street tacos? Yes please! This taco truck is located on the corner of 12th and King in an empty lot in the ID. Parking is plentiful and the tacos are affordable.The tacos aren't as good as tacos I've had back at home in California, but that's okay. I still thought they were delicious. The price to taste value was very well worth it. Unfortunately they only have 5 choices of meats, which are asada, pollo, adobada, carnitas, and lengua. Unfortunately, I didn't want to spring the extra 50 cents for lengua but maybe next time.I ordered everything but the pollo and lengua, and I thought it all tasted good. The carnitas were a little dry, but the asada and adobada were pretty good. I'm not someone who will eat mediocre tacos, so definitely check this taco truck out! 4 tacos definitely filled me up, and it was only $5.CASH ONLY! It's expected though.

This has been my favorite place for the past 10 years. Food is great and reasonably priced however they are not concerned about the big rat that lives outside and runs back and forth from the place where you eat outside to the generator. I seen the same big rat on the two occasions back to back. I screamed and told the lady the first time and she just smiled back at me as if she didn't understand how disgusting it was. The second time I went back and it ran in front of the area you order. I jumped back with my baby in my arms and told her they should get a trap placed because it was the second time in a row I seen it. It freaks me out to go back. The rat obviously lives there and they sent concerned how customers would react. I started to look in the windows and realized how cluttered it looks. I'm just too disgusted to go back no matter how delicious and consistent they have been. It sucks because we would go around twice a week. They lost a long term customer

Tony and Tati were wonderful (host and server). The food was great! (birria) The shots were even better(cazadores)!! Highly recommend this place.

I'm giving 1 star because they had on the menu saying the tacos were 1.10 then the guy said they were 2.50 it didn't say anything about that on the menu it say 1.10 I told him that and he said no they are 2.50 I told him he needs to change the menu sign because it's fauls he looked at me like I was stupid or wrong I didn't even tip him cause of that he didn't deserve a tip

Good and fast, in and out within 5 minutes. I had the burrito plate and was full after eating half of it. They are open late which is also a plus.

Just for sanitation reasons, I would never eat here. Unfortunately, I live near this food truck with a good view of where the owner "uses the bathroom". I've never seen him use hand sanitizer after any of these very graphic bathroom trips or after shoveling his mess into the neighboring yard. I can't be detailed but it's bad. Be careful y'all. Not tryna bash this man's business but also don't want anyone to get food poisoning or worse.

Ordered the Burrito Ranchero, she warned me it was pretty spicy, but I'm a cajun so I wasn't worried. Definitely had me sweating but not overly spicy, great flavor. Plus, $10 for a good size burrito and a can drink is a lot better than others can do. I'll definitely be back for tacos soon.
