Carne asada chips 4/5 were everything. As in, they are served with everything. Delicious meat, melted jack cheese, real guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo salsa. Absolutely delicious. A few of my chips were on the stale side, but I got thru it.Especial Jr torta 5/5 was the best tortas I've had. Delicious, tender stewed meat in marinade/ salsa along with fresh vegetables and a hint of cheese blended flavors perfectly. Highly recommend and will order again.3 Rolled tacos 3/5 were what you want, little crunchy some toppings, and mixed with salsa, forgetaboutit. But needed more guacamole to hold lettuce and tomatoes on the taco. Order if needed.Pollo asado taco 5/5 I was impressed with the flavor, texture, seasoning on chicken. Served with a healthy scoop of real guacamole, cilantro, and onions. Solid taco.Salsa salsa salsa!!! The red and green salsa are great. Spicy, but great. To be a true San Diegan , one must find their own taco shop. Taqueria El Kabron Jr has provided such a sanctuary infused with a local liquor store.The mini tacos were delicious and were fresh off the grill. The first bite is an amalgam of San Diego locality when you don't have to go to far out for a taco joint.The senorita who assisted me was very nice and warming and i felt at home. Take a seat and ponder about life while you wait for your tacos patiently.

It's not what you would think of for a mexican place. The taquiera is more like a deli counter inside a mexican market. Very unassuming, but what they have to offer is delicious and at a great price point!We ordered take out here from UE, and they had some great deals. The fish tacos were pretty legit, good flavor and nicely prepared. The quesadillas were generously large and also a hit with the kids. Everybody LOVED their carne asada fries.Nothing too fancy, but a great solid meal. The staff was really friendly and even though I arrived 20 min early for my order, they immediately started prepping everything and had it ready to go in short order.Definitely a place to return for Taco Tuesday!

This place is a golden place. I am not a big fan of Mexican food but oh my goodness this place takes me back to the good old days. the flavors on the meats are just amazin! and the fresh fruit drinks are even bette. must try won't be disappointed.

This place makes some very good regular tacos and street tacos. I stopped in for an early dinner, and ordered two al pastor, two carnitas, and one chorizo taco. They were all good, some better than others, but my favorite was the chorizo taco, then the carnitas taco, and finally the al pastor. The al pastor needed more flavor, the marinade that is, and they reminded me more of adobada tacos.The carnitas in the carnitas tacos were very well made. They were very crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside, not to mention very tasty. The tacos came loaded with the meat, and with freshly prepared guacamole, and chopped white onions and cilantro. I had these tacos with the green hot sauce and the sauce and the tacos were delicious.I love the chorizo taco. The chorizo was very tasty and tender. I loved the house made corn tortillas every taco came on. You got to hand it to a taqueria that makes their own corn tortillas. It's a lot of extra work. The gent behind the counter was very friendly. As I left, he explained to me that he was preparing the beef birria that is available on the weekends.

Stay away from this place!!! I ordered 5 items through door dash and it was an epic fail. The fish burrito is lacking of fish and consist of mostly lettuce, pico de gallo and tortillas. Both breakfast burritos are just all potatoes. Surf and turf burrito is overcooked and consist of a single shrimp.

I ordered the birria plate and OMG it reminded me of my moms birria. Meat was tender flavor was spot on! I recommend trying it here. I ordered to go with an horchata, but the horchata was way too sweet for my taste. Try the birria! Oh and my girlfriend tried the birria quesadilla

Ordered Carne Asada Fries, two mini Carne Asada tacos, and large horchata from DoorDash. I'm surprised how good their portions are with the fries and the mini tacos were filled! I love the portions so much, the horchata was too sweet for my liking but it's still good, I can dilute it and have more for another time. Also they accepted the order as soon as I sent it in through DoorDash. Overall, I would order and visit their store again.
