This place is where it's at! Passing it you're not sure but one of the best chile relleno and burritos I've had in the city. The fried chicken here looked outstanding also!Good for takeout but some tables in a clean sitting area. Affordable prices, super nice owner, large menu with he generous portions and most importantly DELICIOUS food! The chicken is their pulled fried chicken...wasn't sure about at first but a few bites in and I was sold! Packed with cheese and ingredients... Nothing was messy and ready quick for it being a 1 man operation. I feel like an idiot not getting here sooner...but I'm hooked now! Tried husbands rice and beans... usually I don't do the beans but theirs were outstanding and would order next time!

Not bad, but would prefer to just have a piece of chicken on the side. Next time. -rice and beans - very good, particularly the beansPrices have risen significantly, like everywhere else.

My love of a great burrito knows no bounds. There's nothing like the combination of a fresh tortilla, hot protein, cold veggies, and a kick of spice. With a plethora of places claiming to be "authentic" it's hard to find actual authenticity. I stopped in for a few groceries and noticed a cafeteria style area with a guy cutting insane amounts of cilantro. If you want my attention, this is the way to grab it! I literally stopped shopping and queued up for a burrito! Chorizo (My Fav) was on the menu and I ordered up. I had a very specific expectation of what I was about to enjoy but this was not that. It was way better! My preconceived notion of an "authentic burrito" flew right out of the window. Perfect in every definition of the word!

The BEST tacos you'll find in Chicago! It's a hidden gem. I always get one of each but my ultimate fave is the tripa and the asada. The rice is also so delicious. The chicken is to dieeee for!!! They also have a selection of vegetarian options. Street parking is available. You can also dine in or order for pick up.

I eat a lot of Mexican food and travel quite frequently to Mexico, and this place is the REAL deal. It's a hole in the wall, in all the senses. It doesn't even feel or look like a restaurant, more like a convenient store. This didn't deter me at all. This is top notch Mexican food, cooked by people that really know the art and craft of fine Mexican food. I had the taco dinner plate with steak tacos and would give this a 10/10. Amazing experience. I also got to practice my intermediate level Gringo Spanish with the owners. Would go here again without hesitation

Overall, this place is a hole in the wall, literally but don't discount that for bad food because the tacos here are stellar. This location is hidden in the middle of a neighborhood.I ordered chicken taco and quesadillas. The meat could have been better, instead of fried chicken, a grilled chicken with a spice might have made it better but the quality of the food was great and the verde sauce and red sauce were still amazing. Keep up the good work!

i can't believe I just found this place !! I drive by this almost daily . This place is not hidden but not on a main road . It's next to school and seems very unassuming . The chicken burrito is delicious !! It is filling but not heavy . I have had the chicken and steak both are good but go for the chicken . Also this is small grocery store with tables to sit at .

We took the 66 from downtown to get here - quick ride. Ordered the pound of barbacoa (tip: you can order by the lb to go but by the taco when eating in). Food was awesome. Can't wait to try their menudo as well! Very nice customer service. It looks like a little grocery shop but don't let that fool you. Excellent food!

Definitely have to try. Tacos on point asada, barbaco, pastor. I will return. the staff is also friendly. neighborhood gem.

This place is one of the best parts of living near Noble Square. Everything is delicious and inexpensive. My favorites are the al pastor taco (best I've ever had) and the chile relleno taco, with chorizo+egg torta and steak quesadilla as go-to items as well. Be aware that the chicken tacos use a breaded fried chicken, then buy them too because they are excellent! They also sometimes make Mexican soups and other traditional foods that aren't listed on the menu.
