Average tacos. Kinda dry. The place has a very sad vibe. I wouldn't go back or recommend. So many other places.

This place just opened, the torta was good, the tacos were great also. Nice little place, and it's definitely worth it.

This restaurant is really close to our home.Decide to order takeout and try this place out. I got the beef fajita played and my husband got the tostadas. The food was plentiful and the price was reasonable. I was able to share my beans and rice with my husband so that we didn't have to order 2 plates. Definitely what we were looking for that night. Can't wait to try the other items that they have. It looks like they have some really goodBreakfast items. The next time I go I will get chips and salsa because the chips looked really good.I also want to try the horchata because I look just right.

I like Taqueria El Heredero, but a perfect 5 star is a bit much. 3.49 stars for me. The ingredients are fresh, the restaurant is clean, and the service if friendly. I often opt for the al pastor y carne asada mix for my tacos and burritos. The horchata is housemade and pretty good too. Occasionally the proteins are oversalted and not just a little bit. Still a really nice authentic option for locals or visitors in the area. Not worth a special trip.

Neighborhood taqueria y más! For a Mexican fix!Taco de chorizo - 4/5 - es chorizo molido. It's ground chorizo sausage. Good flavor but I rather would have had it in bigger piecesTaco de asada - 5/5 - tender and savory grilled beef bits...The best!Taco al pastor - 4.5/5 - very good but not exceptionalGordita de lechon - 4.5/5 - tasty; it has pineapples!Chilaquiles rojos with meat, eggs, rice and beans - 4.5/5 - very large portion sizeHuevos rancheros - 4/5 - Good/decent but far from the bestAgua de jamaica - 5/5Agua de horchata - 5/5Ambience:Moderate size with basic designService:Friendly and fast

I had never been to their old location on Armitage. There have been several restaurants at this location over the past few years and they haven't lasted. I do hope they succeed here. It's convenient and the food was good. There were four of us. We had Guacamole, a variety of tacos, and a Gordita. Fairly typical fare for a Mexican restaurant. While I didn't try the Gordita, I was told it was excellent - different than others they had in the past. I believe the tacos were mainly Carne Asada and Al Pastor but we did have one Bistec Encebollado. All were outstanding. The service was good. The server was really nice. And, this will be a spot we return to again.

Wasn't familiar with El Heredero until dropping in for a quick lunch, but I'll return! I was intending to order a pastor burrito and dine in. However, my friendly server suggested a couple Specials, and I opted for the grilled chicken with beans, rice, salad and tortillas for $8.99. Within just a couple minutes my plate arrived, and I was immediately impressed. The chicken was delicious and more slow roasted than what I expected so that it almost tasted like chicken carnitas. Very tasty and a good value. Indeed, I easily would've paid twice as much for the same dish at a full-service Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere was only typical taqueria, so I cannot give it five stars, especially because I never give perfect ratings to establishments using styrofoam and plastic bags for carry out, but I will certainly return to dine in and try other dishes.

It's a little disappointing to see reviews not supporting small owned businesses. This place just opened a year ago and is sooo delicious and the prices are affordable for the amount of food you get. They pack the tacos with the meat. I tried the steak individually and it was bursting with flavor. The birria tacos had such a nice crisp on the outside and birria meat was so moist and soft. Absolute gem of a place - can't wait to eat it again next week.
