Wow, Taqueria Diamante is amazing and always consistent! This is our local neighborhood go-to for great tacos. The service is outstanding, and the food always hits the spot. The steak tacos are the best in the neighborhood, and their guacamole is smooth, creamy, and perfect. Overall, this place is a solid five out of five. Wow!

C'mon Yelpers! Usually reliable but I'm at a loss on this place rated 4 stars. There's 100s of places like this across the city. Most are 3 stars at best and this one is below average for sure. My wife had mole poblano enchiladas. No. Absolutely not. This was one of the worst I've ever tasted. So over salted and bizarre I don't have words. Not really smooth or with the complexity that makes this mole special. The beans are a blank. The chips aren't great and the salsas watery and average. I ordered the burrito with pork. It's a 3. Very average. I didn't like the pork. It had a heavy chipotle flavor. I would try it with something else. It was ok. Service was great. The place isn't remarkable. A little bit of a dive in a not terrific neighborhood. I can't recommend this restaurant.

We went here for dinner on the strength of the reviews and were disappointed. I initially ordered the chicken enchiladas in mole, but sent them back, as the mole sauce was way too salty. The mole I make at home is 100 times better than this, whatever it is, I suspect out of a jar. If they're making it from scratch (highly doubtful) then someone needs a lesson in sauces. Inedible. I switched to chicken tacos with refried beans and received a very average couple of tacos with beans. I don't know why people overrate Mexican food on Yelp, but it's common. Service was friendly and efficient, but the place itself is a real mish mosh, and looks like furniture was taken from several restaurants and reused. I won't be going back.

I'm not sure how I had never tried this place before, and now I can't stop! The steak tacos are divine! The rice and salsa are great! The guacamole is delicious as well! The service is impeccable. The food comes out very quickly, and the staff are incredibly nice. Every time we go there, it doesn't seem very busy for some reason. I hope they stay in business, because they are some of the best tacos on the North Side!

Welcome to Uptown El Diamanté Azul! We heard this popular Rogers Park spot was moving to the neighborhood and were quite excited to try them out. May of 2023 they are just getting established in their new location and getting the logistics figured out. We stopped in on a Sunday night during their Grand Opening week around 7:30 to place a to-go order. Would have preferred to eat in - but we got there too close to closing time - our fault. I ordered the Enchilada Dinner - with chicken mole of course. And Rick had the Burrito Super dinner with steak. Both meals were excellent. Tender meat, good blend of seasoned veggies and beans in the burrito. Rice was moist and the refried beans were standard. My tortillas had absorbed much of the mole sauce on our walk home - if I had thought of it I would have asked for a small container of extra mole which would have been a nice enhancement since I like my enchiladas more on the "saucy" side of things. While waiting for our to go order, we chatted with the owner. She was explaining that they do not yet have a liquor license, as they want to figure out the workings of the new kitchen space before adding in alcohol. But in the future - you'll be able to enjoy a margarita with your dinner. Looking forward to more dinners at El Diamanté .

The staff is so froendly and genuinely nice. The food is authentic and well seasoned. I vascilate between the chicken enchiladsa ( 2 chicken 1 cheese) or the chicken tacos. It's pulled white meat chicken yall, and it's fire! The rice and refried beans are also tasty. I've ordered the guacamole and the spicy salsa before and enjoyed those as well.

We were seated promptly and didn't have to wait long for our food. The burrito bowl and chimichanga are both good, especially the steak on them. This is a gem for a quick and delicious Mexican fix.

I'm 71 have eaten in many Taqueria in Chicago Taqueria Dimanté is tops. First time ordering got cheese enchiladas w/mole with side of chips and guacamole. Excellent enchiladas and super delicious mole! Loved the guac! Uptown scores a fine new place to eat, very nice atmosphere very sweet people! I'll be back...
