Tappi's Cafe

Cute new cafe. For some reason I thought it was going to be similar to a coffee shop but it's very much a cafe or diner. Service was fast, kind and professional. We enjoyed our meals and especially our iced coffees.

My daughter chose this spot for her bday waffles and it did not disappoint ! We stopped by on a Monday morning and we had the place all to ourselves . There's a huge parking lot with plenty of parking, the restaurant is clean, and customer service was inviting !Here's what we ate:MENEMEN WITH SAUSAGE: Unique, tasty, and HUGE ! It gave me shakshuka vibes-- sweet grilled onions, sausage, in a tomato based sauce . The bread It was served with was sooo fresh, fluffy, and delicious . I prefer the sausage to be more golden or a bit more charred, but still good . This meal is pretty hearty, I would recommend sharing . (note: this takes longer to prepare-- came out about 15 minutes after the waffle)NUTELLA BANANA WAFFLE: everything my daughter wanted for her bday breakfast . Waffle was hot, crisp, and fresh . She loved the addition of the mini squeeze tube syrups . Potato cube fries were tasty-- my son devoured the entire plate lolOverall, this is a solid spot . I would love to be back to try the rest of their menu and recommend to family and friends (:

Okay you folks in Rancho San Diego, if you haven't been to Tappi's shame on you. I had the Chilaquiles Verde. The sauce was good, chips okay, but the star and what will bring me back were the scrambled eggs on top, OMG some of the best scrambled eggs I've had, so fluffy and tasty. This alone will bring me back to try their Japanese Soufflé Pancakes. My husband had the Menemen & Sausage, served with amazing fresh bread. He totally cleaned the bowl. I'd say he liked it.One friend had the Khachapuri & Kielbasa and order the Ube Pancake to share. I think she was overwhelmed by the cheese in the Khachapuri, but she said she enjoyed it. I tasted the Ube pancake and quite like it, a tad dry, but definitely fluffy. I enjoyed the unique sweetness the ube lends to the dish.Our other friend had the Lox Benedict. It looked lovely and she really enjoyed it.It is a thirty minute drive out for us, but the other dishes intrigued us so we will be back. What a gem you have.

Nicely decorated and welcoming place, once inside. Easily one of the nicer restaurants in the strip mall. Had shakshuka. Theirs was excellent, perfectly portioned, and the bread really made it stand out. Clearly made here. I'll be back.

Oooooh weeee! Was in the rancho San Diego area for an appointment and it rolled during breakfast time so we figured... let's do brunch! The menu is so varied from Japanese, Mexican, middle eastern and classic American, they have a bit for every taste buds and what we tried was oh so delicious! We got their shakshuka and it was so delicious and blasting with flavors. The bread was non traditional and tasted more like pizza dough mix but it was soft and fluffy. The eggs were cooked to perfection. Their pancakes are no ordinary pancakes, they're massive and spongy, come with droppers jabbed into them which is a cute touch. I would say one pancake would be the equivalent of 2, so order with caution unless you have a massive appetite to devour 2, my teen didn't even finish half of his and he eats like a garbage disposal The house potatoes are amazingly delicious! They put my roasted potatoes to shame because whatever seasoning they use on them is so perfectly crafted For drinks we tried the honeymoon coffee and hmmm great spin with the honey, truly enjoyed it, my son ordered the chocolate milk, he wasn't thrilled with the ice in it, as the ice started melting rather quick and messed up the taste, milk and water just don't go together. Overall the service was good, the young ladies tending to the customers were pretty nice. It's not a huge cafe but perfectly size and not overcrowded on a weekday. There's plentiful parking outside too

My son asked me to look at the menu on line and he picked up a sandwich for me. So for lunch i chose the OsakaSmoked turkey, turkey bacon, grilled cheese, avocado, scrambled eggs, mayo & mustard.All sandwiches served on garlic brioche bread) Very filling and yummy.

Easily accessible, plenty of parking, if you're coming off the 94 it's not too far off the freeway. As soon as you walk in, there is this cute, fun little restaurant with overhanging plants and fun designs on the wall. The host was very kind, made some wonderful recommendations. We tried one of their egg drop sandwiches, Japanese soufflé, pancake, and French toast with berries. All of their food is out of sight! And I highly recommend the Japanese soufflé pancake. Oh!! And check out their coffee menu, they have a great strawberry Matcha, and they have mimosas!

Great little cafe nestled in Rancho San Diego neighborhood! The breakfast sandwiches are awesome and the atmosphere is clean and fresh. I would have to say their specialty drinks were not my favorite- but overall the food, service and atmosphere are done well!

This is a hidden gem for sure. Tapp's Cafe is a must try spot with a unique menu. Loved the ambiance and the staff is so friendly.

Been wanting to try this place out but haven't had time due to the hours well it was definitely worth the wait. Came in today and ordered a plate of green chilaquiles and an order of their Tappi's French toast. Both very generous portions and great presentation. Not only did the food look great but tasted great as well. Will be trying the chipotle chilaquiles next and their egg sandwiches. Coffee is also great, servers and staff were very friendly which is always a plus
