This place really hit the spot. I've been looking everywhere for a Chinese restaurant that serves bittermelon. And as far as I can see, this is the only place in Arizona. They did not disappoint. The beef bittermelon dish was very good. Beef was tender, bittermelon not under or overcooked. Flavor was exceptional. There was only one server running the whole front of the house but she really did amazing considering what she was expected to do alone. Its a bit far for me, 1 hour, but I will be back when in the neighborhood.

We've been coming here for over 15 years. Authentic mom and pop - family run Chinese restaurant. The service has always been great and everyone here is very friendly. The owners are amazing and treat you like family. Food is never disappointing and tastes so good!!! For the amount of food you get, the prices are 100% reasonable and the food is worth every penny. We also tried takeout during Covid and were not disappointed. The parking is ample in a shopping center. Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior. This gem is well worth the visit.

$20 for an tiny appetizer sized entree.. I've dined in before and have definitely received a larger portion than what I just received for the same dish as takeout. This portion, the quality nor the ingredients used make this a $20 meal it does not feel worth it and I would have been better off getting my moneys worth at Hotwok. Of course all the owner wants to do is argue over it than actually understand that people want to receive their moneys worth for such simple dishes we can easily make at home. Pass

Tao Garden is pretty good! I like most of the entrees they offer. I probably had almost all of them over the years. I looked at some other people's suggestions and they all looked good! Their restaurant is located on the corner of the plaza, close to the street. This is good because then it is easy to get there and park. There is a Taco Bell close by though and their drive through gets busy. There is enough parking in the parking lot which is good. The service is usually fast but when it is rush hour, it can get slow. I would suggest the hot and sour soup. That is always a popular dish with my family and friends. I also like a couple of their noodle dishes. I think Hong Kong style noodles. I like their chicken dishes more than the beef dishes or the fish dishes. Great flavors and textures.

This place is incredible. I was recently in Hong Kong and eating the food here really transported me back. The fish clay pot might be one of the best I've eaten in my entire life! The fish was cooked beautifully, tofu was plentiful, and sauce was warm and hearty but not too heavy. The beef clay pot is also extremely high quality. It's very hard to find this level of Cantonese authenticity around the valley but I'm so glad it's available here. The portion sizes here are also very generous. Will be returning next week, and the week after, and the week after that for the foreseeable future!

Yelp got it wrong to give Tao Garden such low rating. Tao Garden your food is delicious!!! I don't usually give any rating but today I need to. I eat around enough to know their food is always consistently delicious, perfect ingredients with amazing aroma for a reasonable price and so much choices!!! Give this place a chance and you will see other restaurants price gouge on their mediocre menu.

Good Cantonese style food along with Chinese American offerings. We mainly go for the traditional dishes and it doesn't disappoint.

I'd give them -5 stars for customer service and cleanliness if it were an option . BEWARE :They have 3 Health code violations . Verified on Yelp . They have not participated in the Health Department inspections since October 2023. The A rating posted in that restaurant is a fraud ; do your research and prevent multiple trips to the shitter and Emergency Room . The old lady waitress is a complete asshole ! Rude, argumentative , and racist towards non Chinese customers .Whenever she waited on tables with Chinese patrons , she exhibited a completely different demeanor. If you are the manger or owner reading this , do yourself a favor and fire her . You won't fill tables as long as that waitress engages with customers and you fail to comply with the Health Department. Please note I'm not the first customer to leave such a review , read what the community is writing . Any smart business owner would make immediate changes .

If you like Cantonese style food, you have to try Tao. Seafood pan fried noodle is our family favorite. We come here when we crave for real authentic food.
