Tandoor and Curry

This restaurant easily climbed to the top of my local take-out radar with just one visit. The place is clean and it's clear some love went into the art on the walls. I was just picking up some food but was still greeted with enthusiasm and offerings to try some authentic Indian drinks and snacks while I waited. The fella that runs the place clearly loves what he's doing and takes pride in the quality. Once I finally had a chance to try the food after getting home, the decision to write this review with flying colors was sealed. All good things, definitely worth giving them a shot!

The physical location of Tandoor& Curry is now open in Woburn on Route 38, approximately half a mile north of the I-95/128 rotary. This family owned Indian takeout eatery has been operating their popular food truck around the Greater Boston area and finally has a permanent location for Indian takeout in addition to the food truck.The Woburn location is geared towards takeout and online delivery (DoorDash) which is order/pickup at the counter with no tables, just standing room with a stool in the front corner. They offer vegetarian dishes, meat dishes (chicken, lamb), kebobs, biryani, kathi rolls, appetizers, naan, Indian chips, combo meals (in-store order only), and cold drinks (water, can sodas-Coke products)- they also have Limca and Thums Up Indian sodas. The pricing is fair and there is a 4 percent upcharge on credit card and online orders, so paying cash in person is preferred. I stopped by Tandoor & Curry in Woburn recently for takeout. I ordered the Vegetarian Combo ($17 plus tax) and 2 Vegetarian Samosas ($5 plus tax) and my food was prepared to order quickly and stapled bagged & ready in about 5 minutes. The owner was pretty cool and thanked me for stopping in.I enjoyed my takeout dinner outside at a nearby outdoor center with tables. The 3 combo items (Vegetarian Curry, Paneer Tikka Masala, Basmati Rice) were packed in sealed plastic containers and the hot Plain Naan wrapped in foil and the Samosas with dip in a standard box. The food was prepared mild spicy including the Vegetarian Curry with carrots, green beans, potatoes, peas, cauliflower, onions & spices. The paneer tikka masala had a nice smooth texture and great over the basmati rice (cooked perfectly-not sticky). The hot baked naan was firm with a light soft texture. The samosas had a dense potato curry filled in a flaky pastry shell with a tamarind dipping sauce.I would definitely return here for more Indian takeout and try out other things including the appetizer basket, chicken tikka masala and biryani dishes.

Great food! Had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Korma, Saag Paneer, Masala fries, garlic naan, & garlic chili naan. All were fantastic. Highly recommend

best Indian food I've had in a while. soooooooooo good really wow. the owners were really nice and friendly, and even gave us a free drink for being first time customers!! can't wait to go again.

The staff are very friendly, but ultimately it's down to the food. Got the chicken tikka masala combo and only got three chunks of chicken. The flavor is quite decent. Not as heavy as a lot of tikka masala sauces are. I'd say it's just barely acceptable for $15 for lunch. And not quite enough for dinner, though there's plenty of rice. I'd probably double up on the samosa chaat instead for a meal.E: undeterred, i went back. This time, got the chicken tikka masala with rice (not combo) for $17. It was 9-10 chunks of chicken of the same size as above. If you like your entree big, it's a much better deal.

Everything I have tried from this place has been outstanding, and the customer service is top notch (Sukhi is the BEST!)... he went above and beyond to resolve an issue when auto correct mixed up my address. Couldn't recommend more highly!

Food was great! We ordered take out and it was tasty and still hot by the time we got home.
