Tan Phat Market

I was looking for certain things I needed so I was on a mission. I love browsing through the aisles, but they are a little tight. I did find the candy, noodles, and canned item. The smell of the meats or the seafood from the counter was very strong. The lighting when you get closer to the back of the store gets a little dark. I only came in since I was in the plaza and I needed some items.

I cannot believe I have lived this close, and have never been to this market. I was going to a Market further way not realizing this one was less than half a mile away.They were super friendly when I walked in. And the store is much much larger than you would think. I wanted to purchase, rice, paper, tapioca, and spices and whatever else I seen that looked good. They had everything I needed, and even some things I didn't know I needed but bought anyway.They have so many items. I really need to write down the names and research recipes. It's a whole New World a Flavor that I would like to learn how to cook. I definitely recommend this market and I'm happy they are so close. I will continue to go there.Going to an Asian market reminds me of when I would travel to Europe and beyond and go into stores not knowing what anything is. It's a really fun discovery outing. Lots of fun things if you've never been to an Asian market. Don't expect a grand store. This one is tucked away in a small strip mall. The prices are fantastic. Buy all my veggies and peppers here.

I don't think I even got a murmur from anyone there. It could be a lack of English speaking skills, but people could still smile and not look so angry or bothered to ring up your sale! I will share their selection of spices and Indian products in what I thought was mainly Chinese was impressive. I also bought fresh fish and it was reasonably priced and amazing when cooked. I will return again for certain products, but the area is a little rough as well, so best to go early in the day.

My go-to Asian market near Phoenix midtown. I love fried bananas, and steamed pork and hard boiled egg bun. I also like the food from their kitchen, like spring rolls, and braised pork belly and eggThere are many kinds of vegetables and fruits to choose from. They are fresh. They also have lots of different kinds of noodles, both fresh and dry.

This is one of the few asian markets I visited since moving to Phoenix. It has everything southeast asian...most of everything you need in your kitchen...fresh meat cuts, fish, veggies, spices, food you're craving from back home.

* Consistently rude service--clerks seem annoyed to ring me up.* Moldy rice noodles--didn't realize til I got home and opened the bag.* Sometimes they close before business hours say they close.This place is much closer to my house than the alternatives, but the convenience is just not worth the hassle.

This is the closest Asian market to my house and its looks are deceiving.... It looks small on the outside, but it's quite large and usually has everything I need. If you're looking for specific Asian ingredients and you're in the downtown area, this is your place.

This market is over price. I felt like the owner follow us around. Watching us scared that we were going to shop lift or something. I felt really violated having someone shadowing me! I would not go back ever!

love this market! From kitchen needs to produce to kitchenware to ramune soda !!! Just discovered they have a vegan fridge section with tons of vegan meats :O market is packed with tons of things very spacious not crammed at all
