Tampico Mexican Restaurant

At this restaurant a weird old man came up to me then forced a yellow fluid down on mouth. truly amazing

My go to Mexican food spot out of all the ones around! Food is great! Service is awesome!Yes the location is a little sketch but worth it!

I was hoping for better food...we got Chile Colorado and Nachos and the food was bland and greasy. The Chile Colorado was hard, chewy squares of meat in a thin red sauce that totally lacked any substantial flavor. The nachos (I picked ground beef) were smothered in lots of cheese which is usually a good thing except you couldn't get to the chips underneath very well. The cheese cooled quickly and and was just a greasy blob making the chips and meat underneath inaccessible. Again, no real flavor and poor quality ingredients. Not my kind of Mexican food.

So before my Mother passed we used to treat ourselves at this restaurant. As time marched all over me, I would make a note to stop by and eat. So I did it. I can say the food is still as good. It is a small restaurant so if you have big group you will be at different tables, but small enough that you don't have to shout at someone across the room. The service is still very friendly. One thing I didn't try and forgot to look and see if still on the menu was the apple burrito. Over 20 years ago and I still remember it. (++ Added to review) I had left overs. This is my go to Mexican restaurant. It is in my neighborhood so I am used to seeing the shady at the hotel and in/around the area. It's Everett, get over it. Has nothing to do with Tampico. Strong pours on the margaritas! Heck yes. I have had several things from here and every item that I have had, has been awesome. Cheese game is always perfect here. Melted and gooey. Shredded beef here is top notch. Super flavorful. Chips and salsa, always great. The red has a kick to it. Everything comes out hot, fresh, fast and with friendly service.

We have been coming here for years, but stopped for awhile. We recently visited here again as we wanted a decent Mexican restaurant. The food is still good. I ordered the Tampico enchilada where you can choose your protein and sauce. I ordered their mole sauce. It's still tasty as I remembered it. Their drinks are strong and delicious as always.Wait staff was nice, helpful, and attentive. Our food came out hot as always and at the same time! There were five of us! And in terms of quantity, it's still a lot of food.It is a solid Mexican joint in the north end. We will be adding this back into our rotation again.

We adore Tampico. Staff treats us like family and it's truly the best family style Mexican food around. Their rice is AMAZING. Sooo yummy, I always get an extra plate of it. Fajitas are top notch and food is all around good quality. Plus they are SO FAST. A great place to eat if you're in a hurry or just want to be treated well at a homey & warm restaurant!

I have tried every Mexican restaurant in Everett and this Mexican Restaurant is the best around (not just Everett) the service is impeccable! You have a hostess seating you immediately, followed by water, chips and salsa from another employee. The margaritas are the best!! The food is amazing!!

I'm not sure what has happened with this restaurant but the food has completely changed in quality!The guacamole was like 1/2 old and they tried making it green by adding a fresh avocado I think, it tasted awful! The rice and beans were dry and old tasting. It was for lunch time and everything seemed like day-old food! It was literarily inedible... We have been going here for about 15 years and something has definitely changed... are there new owners or new management? It's sad because it was our go - to Mexican restaurant

excellent food and service. We stopped here randomly on the way back to Canada and we are really glad we did.
