Zarza Latin Food & Grill

Looking for a late lunch on a Sunday I don't live in the area and it's my first time lunching in it.I like the neighborhood and the plaza they're in looks nice and welcoming!The food was ok, my husband and I ordered the picada for 2 and a chicken burrito to share. I don't know if it's because of the inflation we're in right now that everything is so expensive so they have to cut on the good stuff/meat. So then they they're forced to filled your meals with more starch than what you really want... anyway that's my takeaway with the food... The service is ok, they do have a display of instructions on how to eat there. I just feel they could be more attentive to their at least first time customers. At the very least refill their pink sauce, because it was only around 4pm and their sauce was empty. I asked for more and she said there's no more ... I highly doubt that unless they we just not prepared for this day...

The food is okay. I would not recommend the ceviche as it is made with vinegar which does not allow for complete curing as lime would. The chicken quesadilla was decent. The bowl was a good portion of food but overall lacked flavor. I suggest improving the bowl with the jalapeño onion mix available near the sauces. Good portions of food for the price.

We were traveling up to north central Florida because we're trying to relocate from Miami! My partner mentioned oh we will never be able to get palacio de los jugos chicharrones so we tried these so decided to stop here ! Staff was amazing and chicharrones were delicious just not the Cuban chicharrones we were looking for lol sad but yum nonetheless

Unpopular opinion but we really didn't like the food. None of us. Daughter got soup, she's the one that enjoyed her food for the most. Son got a bandeja and it was just ok. I got veggie fajitas and it was fine, hubby steak fajitas and it was ok also. Overall they have a wide selection but it was just ok. We would t come back.

Very casual Latin American food restaurant with good tasting food. The portions are huge! My team and I ordered an entree each and there was definitely enough of each for everyone to share and sample. I didn't realize there was a side order size of the chicken soup and a dinner portion size that comes with two sides. The dinner portion is a small sink sized bowl! The soup is flavorful and rich. Loaded with chicken, carrots, celery and noodles. Very toke. I got double boiled yuca and it was enough to feed a village. The yuca was a little dry and bland. I asked for garlic sauce and dipping it made it more tasty. I expected more of a boiled soft consistency. The jalea had a good amount of seafood but the pieces were small and a little heavy on the batter. Good flavor batter though. It's located in a cute plaza with some neat stores and a tea cafe.

I stopped by Zarza at 4648 Cleveland High Blvd, Lakeland, FL., for a late lunch today. I arrived at 1:30 and the restaurant had a steady stream of customers, most opting for takeaway. Zarza doesn't have a specific lunch menu like it does for breakfast. You order at the kitchen counter, and you get a handheld device that lights up and buzzes when your food is ready for you to pick it up. I ordered the ¼-Chicken Special which comes with yellow rice, black beans, a 4-ounce side and a fountain beverage. I had the fried sweet bananas as my side. The chicken was moist and delicious. The side dishes were also very tasty. I will definitely be back to try some of the other offerings on their menu. (Also, Zarza has just opened a second restaurant in Winter Haven and with food this good, I'm sure it will be a success! I can't wait to try it!)

The food was great! We were next door at Picazzo and decided to have dinner there afterwards. Let me tell ya this was just as good as Miami and brought back memories. I had the fried pork (came with 2 chops) yellow rice black beans and plantains. My daughter had the bowl which was large and fresh. Husband had the chicken. Everything was amazing. Definitely will be back. Most people were getting their orders to go.

Good environment, incredible food and reasonably priced. I have not found a bad item on the menu.

The food was great and inexpensive. It's a new location in Winter Haven so it was almost empty when I walked in at noon. I hope more people try it and they do well
