The best homemade macaroni and cheese and collard greens in Tampa. I'm a super picky foodie, mostly b/c I grew up pretty much on a farm where we cooked everything from scratch! I also don't typically review until I've ordered multiple times to get a better gauge on consistency. So, keep that in mind while reading this review. Anyway, when I don't feel like making sides for Sunday dinner, I typically order from here through Uber Eats. They are super consistent and never miss on flavor, which is a staple in soul food, IMO. I've tried other soul food restaurants in Tampa, and I always have to add seasoning or add cheese to the mac, but not here! I just love that. The cornbread is really good...moist, not dry...and not too sweet. I tried the sweet honey cornbread today for the first time, and it was a bit too sweet for me to go along with collard greens, but if you just eat it alone, it's like cake. So, it is still good. I just prefer the regular cornbread. Additionally, their customer service is top notch. There have been changes to my orders in the past, and they literally call to notify me or ask me about substitutes. I've also had to call them b/c of Uber inadvertently cancelling my order. Whether I called them or they called me, they are always pleasant and courteous. Good customer service goes a long way for me! The only reason I removed one star is b/c of the banana pudding. It is good, but the actual pudding doesn't seem to be homemade. Although they do add cinnamon to it, which helps w/ that "instant pudding" taste. If they made the pudding in-house, I would like it more. Overall though, I'll keep ordering from them as long as they are around b/c they definitely know how to cook and properly season the food better than any soul food place I've tried since moving to Tampa! Maybe, I'll branch out and try something other just than sides one of these days.

You will smell it before you reach the door and will not be disappointed. Food is top notch, worth the wait. Exceeded my expextations

Thank you Yaya for serving up the best soulfood in Tampa. I've all but gave up hope finding good soulfood in Tampa, but because of you I realize there is hope. I tried the twice baked turkey wing, smoked chicken wings, Collard greens, cabbage, and green beans. Literally, everything was delicious! The food was perfectly cooked and had flavor without being overly seasoned and salty. Delivery is available through UberEats and DoorDash.Definitely check them out!

Ya ya ya ya yahhh!! This food is for my and your soul. Think Southern Sunday meals but everyday! This cafe has delectable cuisine, warm hospitality and add a little upbeat music to set the tone. They are just that...Southern

The food was excellent. Went a few weeks ago and enjoyed everything. It's a little far from home for me but I'd take the trip again!

I eat there last week and the food was delicious! My dinner was roasted turkey wing, collards.

He** no never again the young guy who takes the order messed me up, took money and over charged me for a turkey wing dinner this the reason why i don't support BOB

I ordered turkey wings for like 24.00 $ there was only one on the plate, was kinda pissed at the service an overall price and quantity off the meal. Dont think ill be eating there again....

I ordered the oxtails, green beans, and collard greens to go. I enjoy Yaya's food because it's tasty but not salty, and entrees are served with rice. The vegetables are seasoned with turkey instead of pork, which I prefer, and the oxtails' gravy did not have wheat flour, which is awesome for people with an allergy to wheat. I'm accustomed to eating oxtails with Caribbean seasoning. These have more of a Southern flare, and I enjoyed every morsel. While the meat fell off the bone and was tender, I would consider giving five stars if the oxtails were cooked a little longer. The customer service is great. The space for dining in is small, but if word spreads about this hidden gem, Yaya's will need a bigger space soon.

Excellent food the ribs were off the planet. I love everything that sweet honey cornbread was absolutely delicious.
