Yamato Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

First after a super long week. I needed to be out. I remembered I had a gift certificate from this establishment so great let's go!!First take a BIG SWEATER....it was freezing.I ordered from the menu...great sushi roll.The soup was lacking The service was great.Desert was number one.

I've been here twice with my partner since they take their family here on occasion and we went together these last two times. I usually only get sushi vs hibachi since I don't wanna do a whole show just to eat sushi. They have a really good selection of food and drinks there. It's a small bar but definitely fun to sit at. There's a bar menu with specialty pricing for food and drink as well. I enjoy their Tokyo roll myself. The bartender is really nice as well and gets everything in order pretty quickly. She's suggested different things for me to try also. It's got a really relaxed atmosphere as well.

This is one of my favorite places to eat hibachi! The food here is always amazing. This time around we opted to sit in the hibachi area and the chefs are always super nice/funny. I tried their sushi for the first time and the Crazy Dancing Roll was good/fresh. You also can never go wrong with the filet minon hibachi. Pro tip I learned from a friend was to ask for double veggies and less rice. It is a good bit amount of food so you will definitely have leftovers to take home that heat up pretty nicely. If you have a reservation just make sure you take into account the mall parking that sometimes can get filled up so you may have to walk or drive around for a while to find parking. Overall, I rate this place a 5/5. Definitely a cute date night /girls night dinner place!

Can't go wrong with hibachi. Cant say it's better or worse than any other hibachi as far as service and atmosphere, but it all comes to food. I'm a sushi guy, and the quality of the sushi I would say was ok. I didn't have anything to write home about. I got the sushi pizza also just really for the novelty of it. If you like fried rolls and crab, it's good, but that's all it was. Was also too heavy to eat a full order but great to share. The other sushi was fairly standard but I like just fish and rice so no complaints. The hibachi rice and noodles were good. The rest of the party got chicken and steak and those were cooked wayyyyyy too long. Cant speak to much on it though since I didn't order it, so my experience was good.

Yamatos is always a five star rating! The staff is friendly here and super quick service. You are always quoted a longer time frame before sitting but usually they are pretty quick. The location is always clean and the food is always bomb.com! I just love a delicious hibachi restaurant!

Our family had a great time! Ricky Ricardo???? was really good and actually had the teenagers laughing. The fillet and the scallops were done to perfection!!! The hostesses and the one serving our soup and salad were fantastic! They also on top of all the food you receive add noodles(yummy) which being from Ohio I have never had before! Thank you for a wonderful experience !!!!Debbie

Great food and service, this is one of the few places that doesn't give y husband stomach pains for hibachi. He is super sensitive to MSG

Pros:-Customer Service was Great! Everyone was super friendly and the waitress had good suggestions.-Food was fresh and flavorful (chicken and shrimp hibachi meal)-I liked that you could substitute the ginger dressing for yum yum sauce on salads.-Fun atmosphere (our kids loved that they cook in front of you)-Yum yum sauce was great! (i say this because we have been to hibachis with terrible yum yum)Cons:-A big smoky at times (could use better ventilation)-I do not like how the kids meal does not come with vegetables (it does come with soup and salad, I am wondering if this is interchangeable, but my kids would do better with veggies than soup/salad)-alcohol menu needs some 151 options lol (most hibachis I have been to have this option, I would like to see it here too)Mid pro/con: They give you rice and noodles (I am hoping to ask next time if you can just choose one over the other). Their noodles are good but I am just a rice girl through and through. Overall though I do like the uniqueness of being offered both.We very much look forward to coming back and trying more.

Food was awful! I had Yaki Udon. Sent it back. Noodles dried out, vegetables were inedibly burnt. They kept my dinner on the bill till I told them to take it off! Salad dressing was soy sauce!!! Gave us bill and didnt offer dessert! Atmosphere crowded and rushed.! Rushed us out! No stars should have been given!
