Yaki-Mono Japanese Kitchen

This was a wonderful find on a random whim - we were driving down the road and wanted a place close to the beach. The service was personable and wonderful and the sushi was excellent- really great little gem.

I am a big sushi lover & was thrilled to see great reviews for this new spot that is owned by Blu Fugu. Now that I have tried their sushi, I cannot agree with the reviews. My sushi arrived frozen & I was told to let it sit in the soy sauce & it would thaw out. The lettuce was wilted. I was so bummed. The service was outstanding and everyone was kind so I wanted the sushi to be good. They had a full bar and wine so it can be a good place for day drinking across from the beach. They had a cute book just for sake. Presentation of the sushi was beautiful & everyone was nice. Unfortunately, I don't like to pay $145 for just okay sushi.

Family favorite at St. Pete Beach. This charming small restaurant has great & friendly service and excellent food. We try and go at least once a week while we're visiting.

Yaki-mono is a small cozy restaurant with some genuine Asian dining vibes. They're very flexible when it comes to creating your own rolls or adjusting dishes to your taste. Their ramen bowls are more than enough for 2. Everything was tasty and full of flavor and the service was very hospitable and welcoming. The food came out pretty fast, but was still great. Their hours are somewhat restricted at the moment, but that may change during season. Either way, I would certainly return to try other items on the menu.

Amazingly fresh- tuna was like butter. Order some spicy mayo- best I have had ever!! We had a lunch box, ahi poke bowl and tuna tataki.

We really enjoyed our meals at Yaki-Mono. We had sushi and udon. Both were just what we had hoped they would be. Yummy and fresh. The service was good. Attentive and pleasant. The restaurant itself is a little small but booths were a nice size and comfortably sat our party of 4. I'd say call if you have a larger party just to make sure they can accommodate your group.

Fantastic addition to St Pete Beach that just opened! Currently open 11-6p. Great alternative to the numerous typical beach fare options up and down the beach. I believe they're related to the Blue Fugu restaurant next door on the supermarket plaza, if you want the full Hibachi experience.Their decision to post a campaign sign for a city mayoral election is a curious one though, given it's proving to be a very divisive election; seems like a surefire way to reduce business from a segment of local residents.

If you are staying on the beach and looking for a place to eat... You have found a perfect spot! Wow the sushi was great!
