When they say "different stokes for different folks", last night was a great example of that and our New Years Eve experience was such. This review will discuss our experience on the Tampa Bay NYE cruise.I called two days prior to ask a few questions as online sales ended at this point. One of my questions was "Do you guys have Tito's Vodka" and the answer was yes. However, when we boarded the boat, Tito's was NOT included in the open bar package. It would've been helpful with the person answering me the day before the event to say "Yes we have Tito's but it's not included in the package". So that was not a great start to the night to find that out.We already had dinner so I can't comment on the food except for the desserts being passed around. Last night was foggy so by the time we had the passed desserts had some condensation on it from being on the 3rd/top deck. The music was not great. Not only was the "DJ" off beat on several transitions but there was very little music from the past few years. I understand the musical choices reflected the older audience on the boat but it's NYE! Let's go with some Billie Ellish, Charli XCX or even something modern from Beyonce (not just Single Ladies!).They really need to clarify the open bar bullet point on the event description. It was basically Miller Lite/Bud Light/Yuengling and rail alcohol. You know, the cheap stuff. The comp champagne was was it was, sweet and an inexpensive taste to it. I will say the bar servers and wait staff were friendly and hustling their rear off.THE SAVING GRACE to this whole night was the Fireworks. Thank goodness for that. If you want to see that view, go to the 3rd deck and head to the back of the boat. That was nice but beyond that, the dollar amount of over $500 for 2 tickets to this NYE event was absolutely not worth it.

While visiting Tampa Bay we decided to try the 2 hour cruise aboard the Yacht Starship it was $ 139.90 for 2 people, $6.00 marine fee ?, to sit near a window $25.00 each, Processing fee $8.39 ? total $217.03 they had food but nothing to write home about we were hoping with the 2 hour cruise we would see million dollar homes but basically just saw old oil tankers .... When we sat at our table a woman asked would you like a drink we each got a Pepsi towards the end of the cruise she basically said okay how much are you going to tip me ? yes we do understand about the tipping we ended up giving her @20.00 dollars for bringing us 2 small glasses of Pepsi so this was a first and a last for us.

What better way to celebrate than on the Yacht Starship. The Starship is perfect for any occasion and celebration, and none better than my graduation from Leadership Hillsborough-Class of 2024. The evening included a scenic cruise while enjoying dinner and drinks with friends and family.

We celebrated our friend's 50th birthday on this ship tonight and had a very good time. Seating: it was a bit tight fitting 50 to 60 guestsand you have to be mindful you are not hitting the person behind you. Food: I would give it 2/5 stars. The fish was horrible. The herbed baby potatoes were delicious, as were the veggies and caesar salad. They ran out of the cordon bleu chicken quickly and they were quick to bring more out, but I didn't feel like getting out of my tight seating to get some, but I did have a little taste of my fiancé's chicken. It was okay. Upstairs: Small, but more appropriate for groups less than 15.Overall experience on the water: Very safe Staff: VERY attentive and concerned about our safety entering and departing from the vessel. Great customer service. Would I host a wedding or birthday on thisparticular Starship... probably not given the cost.

Why not do something a lot of visitors do when coming to Tampa; a local cruise with food. In this case a Sunday Brunch Cruise. So a few things that a different from just going to a regular on shore restaurant. You get the tickets and then you board, while getting your picture taking in front of the ship (just like a real cruise on a big ship). Except, that part wasn't really that friendly. Got pushed away quickly even though not many people were ready to board. Once on board you get some instructions and your table is shown to you. Here is the highlight; the server (Joy) was really lovely and helpful, made sure we had everything we wanted. The food is a buffet with a bit of everything. Your fruit and salad, pastries, eggs and bacon, French toast and even some stroganoff (which isn't really brunch to me but it was good). The warm food is ok, a little blend (they claimed award winning, which doesn't say much). There was also shrimp and salmon and both were tasty. The ship is ok. Most areas were closed. On the top Deck is a bar and some live music with some Jamaican drums. It was ok but nothing too capturing. The cruise gets you around the Tampa channels and a little bit into the Bay and around Davis Island. I have now done it and would not do it again. But did have fun and that is what it is all about.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had pretty low expectations going into this venue, but to my surprise It was worse than what we expected. The ambience was absolutely destroyed by the loud intercom, and the TVs displaying advertisements through the ship. The food was absolutely pathetic and inedible. The service was adequate but didnt wow me but I cant blame anyone other than the chef or the Captain for the absolutely horrible experience.
