I usually think a taco truck is the perfect option at a brewery or bar where they don't serve food because there's a pretty high floor on your experience with tacos, but Xtreme Tacos really challenged that notion in my experience. I went for a couple of street tacos while I was at 7venth Sun and was pretty disappointed in the quality of the tacos. All of the meats tasted like they had been prepared quite a while before, the steak and pork in particular were lacking in the texture and flavoryou would hope for. The tortillas also tasted like they were a couple of days past expiration. The only redeeming qualities I found were the speedy service (which could be a product of the ingredients being far from fresh) and the red salsa was super flavorful allowing me to douse the tacos in it.

They have the BIGGEST burritos! I swear, ours was the length of my forearm! It was packed with a lot of meat, beans, cheese. They have two sauces to choose from and we selected the salsa verde which was very good! My husband and I both really enjoyed it, still have enough for a second meal! We'll be back the next time we come to Tampa!

Why 3 stars? Because our meal was okay. --- --- ---I enjoyed my experience at the old brick & mortar location for Xtreme Tacos, so when I had plans to be in Seminole Heights, I figured I would stop here for lunch. When I visited, they were in the parking lot of 7venth Sun Brewery, but the post their whereabouts on Facebook, if you're trying to seek them out.We ordered carne asada quesadillas, a carne asada burrito, chips & queso and a corn cup. To be honest, none of it was terrible, but none of it really stood out, either. The quesadilla was kind of bland and the quality of the carne asada seemed a bit off. There were a couple of piece of un-chewable, rough cartilage in there. And the wife's burrito was more of the same. The corn cup was Xtreme's take on elote. It was alright - the best part was the top with the cheese, but below that, it was pretty much just a cup of corn.I'd say the chips and queso were my favorite part of the meal. The wife commented that the queso tastes like Moe's, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The folks working here were definitely nice and I'm rooting for them, but this experience was pretty unremarkable.

My partner and I visited the Xtreme Tacos food truck at 7th Sun. We ordered the following tacos: tempura shrimp, Sriracha cauliflower, grouper, and pork. We also ordered chips and guac. The tacos were great! We got the tacos with all of the fixings so they were very filled. Our favorites were the grouper, cauliflower, and the pork. The chips were homemade and delicious! The guac was average. Overall, I would rate Xtreme Tacos a 4 four food. I can add another place to recommend people for tacos. I gave extreme tacos a 3 on Yelp due to our long wait time for the tacos and guac. When we ordered we were our order would take 35 minutes which was fine. My partner checked to see if our order was done after 35 minutes and it was not. I'm total we waited over an hour for our food. That was a bummer! We had to wait an extra 35-40 minutes above the original eta which was not great. When we ordered the place was packed but throughout the night things tapered off which is why we could not figure out the delay for our food. If you see Xtreme Tacos definitely check them out but just know you will have a long wait time for your food.

I was not expecting much of this bus. Well I was wrong wrong wrong! There's a reason why there's a wait on taco Tuesday ....seriously call your order in! Or you can be like the rest of us & get a drink at circa 1949 while we wait. This is an a pretty sketchy part of a town for me ...it's in the Heights I think. Believe they call this an up-and-coming neighborhood? All the patrons are nice the food is amazing and worth the drive. Homemade corn tortillas y'all , need I say more?!?!

Note! Its no longer at the address listed here. Its a food truck parked a few miles down the road at 7eventh Sun brewery (although they do travel so call ahead 1st). The menu is large so it was hard to decide. We ordered a few different things to try and split and everything was perfect. First, loaded. Get everything loaded. You want the beans, the slaw, the pico, the guac...all of it. We had the tostada with carnitas, buffalo chicken nachos (ton a nachos!), shredded chicken taquitos smothered, and a cup of elote (roasted corn with chipotle and mayonnaise, Im sure its terrible for me but its sooooooo good). Reasonably priced, fresh, delicious, and super friendly staff. Im going to stalk them on Facebook and beg them to bring their taco truck to DTSP sometimes.

We've visited Xtreme Tacos a half dozen times now. It's extremely busy on the weekends. We've learned to call ahead for our order. The seating is minimal, maybe a few tables inside and a few outside. My son LOVES the buffalo chicken quesadilla; it's all he gets. The standard is a corn tortilla for the tacos. I like both the extreme (loaded) and the Tijuana. We've tried the shredded chicken carnitas, and fried fish. All were excellent. The chips and guacamole are amazing and a must have. My husband swears by the burrito with the shredded chicken. The only issue we've had is being disconnected on the phone.

I get it, I get it it- the 'Xtreme' part means they shoot high in standards & it's all EXTREMELY good, worth the money, and the portions are dang generous. The first time I went they were still in the building on Waters & I was blown away by the looks of the stoner burrito- it's seriously a 1lb burrito. How!? Currently they're in a food truck that rotates location between Lowry Parkcade on Waters & 7enth Sun Brewery on Nebraska- both of which are freaking brilliant ideas because neither of those spots serve food... but soon they'll be moving into an awesome new spot on Nebraska; looking really amazing so far (check out the murals on the new building!).Personal reigning fave is the Chile relleno burrito. I don't know whose idea it was to put a freakin cheese fried poblano pepper into a burrito, but they deserve a prize. Throw in the beans & all the other yummies they put in, plus they use cabbage (omg omg it's so good) instead of non-nutritional lettuce, and you have got yourself an A++++ meal. The chips are always fresh, the queso is thick & not runny or watered down, the salsa options plentiful. You can choose your protein & although I eat some meat I usually hit up the fried cauliflower (siracha or buffalo, both great!). I've also tried the tacos & I chose portobello for a protein & found other cooked veggies in with it like peppers & onions (pleasant surprise).I'm not even joking when I say that I've never had anything quite like this & no matter where I roam, I never will again. This is a genuinely one of a kind taste. Try it, love it, repeat.
