Wing Boys

This business is closed and a new business is in it's place. It is now Taz. The menu appears to be very similar to what Wing Boyz offered. I believe Taz is a local Tampa Gas Station Franchise.

Worth the wait!Cons: small wings and one of the orders did not come breaded like we requested. Pros: Great flavor options and helpful staff. I was weary when the aroma of delicious fried chicken was coming from a gas station but I need not fear. They are on their way to a food truck or a spot at Armature Works. Multiple Groupons can be used when placing an order. Food delivery services (Uber, Postmates) are listed as options but do not list this establishment. The website was not as easily accessible or user friendly.

This was my first time visiting. I really enjoyed the food. So when I first arrived I was a bit confused, but then eventually realized that the restaurant is inside the gas station store. So I decided to order 10 wings, and I wanted 2 different flavors. They offer 100+ sauce variations to choose from. I chose the lemon pepper garlic Parmesan and the hot jerk. Wow! These wings were amazing! Great seasoning, the jerk sauce was amazing. I'm obsessed with these wings. The wings were crispy but yet still very tender. I can see why these wings were highly rated. I will be returning, and I will definitely order more than 10 wings next time.

I've had good wings all over the Tampa Bay, Clearwater and Lakeland area, so let me put you on to a legit wing spot that's my new go too in the Tri- county area that will not disappoint. Today, I was completing my Mother's Day shopping for Ma Dukes at the Citrus Park Mall when my son said, "let's get a bite to eat." There were a few places to choose from, but I remembered earlier in the week a Charles Belcher segment on Fox13 about the Wing Boys. So, I had to try it out. I was with my son, the certified wing king connoisseur. Nothing gets past his taste buds. We were greeted by two lovely ladies at the counter; we placed our order and waited few minutes. I got the # 83 Bourbon Honey Garlic wing meal and my son got the #27 Lemon Pepper Ranch Garlic Parmesan. The wings were certified lick your fingers twice and eat it to the bone, good! Wings were cooked perfectly, Buffalo was a great sauce, and the fries had good seasoning. However, the jerk wings had a weird flavor in them and the bourbon wings tasted like barbecue. Overall just unimpressed.

Man, what can I say to possibly summarize just how bangin these wings are?! I guess I'll compare them to Wingstop, the "premier" place for chicken wings. First, the size comparison: Wingstop's wings are slightly larger than Wing boys. The flavor options: Wing Boyz has flavors I didn't even know existed in this realm! They win that one hands down! The price, both places have comparable prices for their products. Neither of which is overpriced. The staff: Wing Boyz crew feels more authentic with their friendliness. Wingstop is cool, but they're a franchise and have a corporate feel to their customer service vs Wing Boyz who aren't franchised, they're just trying to make you happy. Overall, Wong Boyz is definitely worth trying when you want a break from the norm and, if you let them, they may just win you over altogether.

Honestly, the greatest wings in Tampa. Perfect meat to flavor ratio, and the largest selection of flavors I've ever seen in Tampa. I make sure to order them every week, extra crispy/well done, with a random bunch of flavors. Don't skip on the garlic ranch lemon pepper parmesan wings, trust me!

This place is exceptional. I ordered ahead and the wings were made FRESH. I asked for all flats, fried extra hard. Food came out as expected, tossed well in the sauces I asked for and they gave me an abundance of fries free of charge. I've been looking for a wing place that specializes in small wings (like Wingstop) and many flavors and this place definitely fits the bill. Next time I go I will definitely try the special chicken sandwich. Staff is very friendly and gave a warm welcome when I came in - you can tel they are the type of people that remember names and faces. Definitely a five star food experience - do not let the gas station location give you pause. The food is fire.

So I went to wing boyz on Friday the. 24th my girl wasn't there I ordered 10 wings all flat xtraaaa crispy I placed my order at 5:26 at 5:28 she's trying to hand me my order I said it's only been 3 minutes I don't want these can you please make some xtaaaaaa crispy I'll wait next thing I know she's handing me me order the cook out much wings back down sooo he double dip them they was Fckn burnt and nasty if my girl isn't there I won't order from there you need to teach your cook an the girl up front when people ask to fix their order you don't put the wings back down you remake new ones I go there ask the time an I was very disappointed!!!!!!
