Wing Box

I tried the 12 bone-in wings from Wing Box during the Food Truck Fest on Market Street. Always take advantage of doing 1/2 and 1/2 with the sauces, that's KEY ! I tried the Sweet Asian Chili and Maple Bacon. The Sweet Asian Chili was sweet and savory with a little kick. Definitely my favorite flavor of the two. The Maple Bacon was sweet and smoky with the maple flavor coming through beautifully. The skin had a satisfying crunch, but was still tender on the inside. I was not disappointed, but I was also not blown away. The waffle fries were so good, better than I expected. They were perfectly fried and seasoned! They are, in my opinion, the perfect fry.Overall, some great wings. Try it out if you're in the area!

The Wing Box food truck came to our community last night and I was a bit concerned it would be an unsuccessful visit since their menu is so limited. I was able to place our food order on-line and choose a pick-up time. They have either boneless or traditional wings and a large variety of sauces. They have either fries or sweet potato fries as a side. I chose the Buffalo traditional wings along with fries. Although our pick up time was 6 pm, our food wasn't ready until 6:20 pm. The good news was that it meant our food was freshly cooked and would be hot. The wings were very good! The Buffalo sauce was perfect and my lips burned for a little while, so I was happy! Lol. The fries were crispy and had flavor, so I was happy with my meal. I do think the wings could be a little large for the price.

I was really excited about Wings today, so you can imagine my disappointment when I received overcooked, extremely salty , baby wings. 8 of them for 8.50 , 9.00 with tip. They were ready 43 seconds after I ordered them which also means they were not hot or fresh. The Ranch dressing looked like it had been partially used so I did not have any dipping sauce. I will not order from here again.

I was ecstatic when I learned that Wing box was coming to my neighborhood. Talk about convenience! We ordered their signature flavors Garlic Parm and Maple Bacon ($1 more for each flavor). 20 wings total and 2 orders of fries were immediately consumed on my tailgate. It would be nice to have an area to sit and eat due to the nature of these finger foods so keep that in mind. Nothing wrong with bringing them home or sitting in your car to eat! I would recommend eating them asap. The Waffle fries were great surprisingly; definitely add it to your order! It's my understanding Wing Box is under new ownership and has revamped the menu a bit! Great prices. Amazing wings. I preordered and unfortunately they were out of the sauce I ordered by the time they made my wings but they made a suggestion for a different flavor and it was spot on. So good. I hope they come back because I will def be ordering more flavors.

Fist time patron at Wing Box and now a forever fan! I tried the gold flavor- surprisingly a flavor I have never heard of... it's a sweet and tangy sauce based out of the Carolinas. There was a lot of flavor packed into a wing, at the end of eating each wing the tanginess stayed in my mouth- which I love. That shows me that the wings are coated in lots of sauce... Not quite like a marinade; but they were very saucy where it almost drips off of the bone. They offer a variety of flavors like spicy bbq, buffalo, teriyaki, and sweet chili just to name a few. The service was good- they were very busy during the time I placed my order. The fries were a traditional style but good and tasted fresh. They travel all over town at various events so when you see them- flock on over to them and get yourself some wings!

These guys make the best loaded wings!! A must try. There on a good truck and post the locations for the week, weekly. I drive wherever they're posted at for the day it's worth the drive!!!

I tried out Wing Box at a recent Third Thursday food truck event in Channelside. It was definitely one of the more popular trucks there and the wing flavor varieties were plentiful. It did take some time to get my order since they were so slammed at the peak of the event. I went with the Jerk flavored wings and boy were they spicy. My mouth was on fire after having about 2 of the 8 wings that were in the box. The wings were very sauced up, so prepare to get messy. Overall the wings were cooked very well and the flavor was there. Personally, I'd love it if they had some dry rub flavors as I don't prefer too much sauce on my wings.

Saturday night my brothers and I headed to In The Loop Brewing for a relaxing night in the cooler weather with some good beer. We arrived and noticed that the Wing Box was parked in the lot outside the biergarten. We decided that if we got hungry we would hit up the truck for some wings.After a couple beers, we walked over to check things out. They had a decent menu, consisting of traditional wings and boneless wings. They had about 12 different flavors to choose from and had "box" options that included fries. My brother ordered and 8 wing box with fries. 4 were lemon pepper and 4 were honey hot.We took them back to our table and dug in. Man, these were the best wings we had ever had. The lemon pepper wings were out of this world. They had a heavy breading on them, crunchy and well seasoned with a lemon pepper dry rub. The chicken was fresh, tender and juicy. The wings had a good amount of meat on them which was nice. They started with high quality wings to begin with which made all the difference. Their seasoning was the icing on the cake so-to-speak. My brother housed the honey hot wings and said they were darn good as well. The fries also impressed us. They were crispy and fresh. My brother noted that they still had that potato taste to them which made them all the better.Before we left, I decided to get my own order of wings to go. I'm a fan of boneless wings and basically just an adult that loves chicken tenders. I order them lemon pepper. No fries this time, just the wings. Let me just say that they did not disappoint. They were crispy, well seasoned hunks of white meat chicken.We were so impressed we passed along their information to our apartment complex. Once a month on Wednesday's, our complex hosts food trucks. If you ever see the Wing Box truck hanging out, stop and get an order from them. Very worth it and reasonably priced.

I caught up with Wing Box at Cigar City and wow. Of course, I had the loaded buffalo bites and even at $15, this is a whole lot of food. More than a dozen chicken bites on top of a pile of shoestring fries topped with blue cheese and buffalo sauce. Way too much food here. Really, enough to share.It was hot, but not crazy hot. I've had spicier and I'm sure that they could make it with less heat if you asked. They seemed really super nice and I think they'd be more than accommodating.Great stuff, Wing Box!
