Whistle Stop Garden's Tea Room

Whistle Stop Garden's Tea Room was such a fun experience. My mom and I went on a Sunday for some fun girl time and it did not disappoint. We made reservations via text message a few weeks in advance and included our tea time, number of guests and what tea service we wanted; so, our reserved table was ready for us when we arrived. We got to select 2 types of tea for the table and then were served a salad, a selection of tea sandwiches, quiche and sweet treats on a tiered tray.The decor and overall feel of the tea room was relaxing and quaint; the girls serving our refreshments were kind and everything was very yummy! Overall, great experience and will definitely be back Pro tip: the tea room opens before the store on Sunday so there's a side gate you go through to get back to the tea room!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!***NEW OWNERSHIP***My daughters & I have been frequenting Tea Houses for 30 yrs and hands down this was the absolute best experience ALL AROUND! Atmosphere, breathtaking lakefront views, Charming decor, the absolute friendliest staff ( Thank you Belle), kind hearted and wonderful caring owner Sara and superb food. Scones, Chicken Salad, strawberry mousse, Everything was on Point! Trust me and go here! Don't forget to stop in the general store and the antique shop while you're there !!! You will be so glad you did!

I would like to go back to this place. I like the classy and calm ambiance. The little appetizers were really good and good service!

We had the afternoon tea as a group of 3 friends and had a lovely time the food was lovely and yummy! The atmosphere was quaint and homey. We loved it!

Had a private event baby shower at the Whistle Stop Garden' Tea Room. From booking to communication to the actual event everything was great! Sarah was an amazing host! When it was obvious it was going to be cooler than expected ( Jan 11, 2025) I inquired about a patio heater because we had booked the entire property ( inside and outside). Sarah let me know they lost theirs in the recent hurricanes ( Helene and Milton) but they would have one available. When we showed up 30 minutes prior to the shower for set up, bless her heart, Sarah was trying to put the heater together herself! My son in law and his father jumped into action and within 40 minutes had the heater together and on the patio. Sarah was gracious enough to let us have additional time at the end of the shower for the inconvenience. Thank you! Appreciated that gesture. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. It made the shower really special and an event above and beyond a regular shower- something my daughter really valued and enjoyed. We received so many compliments about the venue, service, food and hospitality of the staff. I would recommend for a private event and certainly for an afternoon tea.

We had such a great experience from start to finish with Whistle Stop Garden's Tea Room! Sarah was a pleasure to work with to book the veranda for a private baby shower and everything went so smooth. The food and tea were wonderful! All the ladies working were so nice and attentive. I'd highly recommend!

The place was cute and strange. The food was good but really small portions for the price. I was rather disappointed by that. Service was kind but a little slow. Not a return trip for me but nice to experience.

This was very cute but I would highly recommend coming in the winter or fall because there is no AC, fan, or anything. Our entire party could hardly focus on conversation or drink the hot tea with how hot it was inside the room. We hardly touched the tea because of how warm it was inside. Would be cute in the wintertime! The cucumber sandwich was my fave but for $35 the food wasn't out of this world, just basic stuff

A hidden gem! Tucked away is this hidden garden and tea house. The best southern ambiance to drink tea and eat cucumber sandwiches with friends or family. The service is great, prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking. You do have to have a reservation to have tea and they do have somewhat of a waitlist, but well worth it. They usually have a couple of teas of the day to choose from that are delicious. They have a an antique shop with furniture and trinkets at the store at the front so make sure to check that out as well.

Went to Whistle Stop Garden's this am and had a beautiful lunch in their tea room. It was my Grandma's 92nd birthday and she loved it. The service was great and the chicken salad was delicious! The tea room had an eclectic style with authentic China on all of the tables. We had a lovely time celebrating, definitely a memory I will cherish.
