Discovered this place on the whim while searching for local Latin restaurants. We dined on a late Saturday afternoon early evening. There were only two other diners there including ourselves. First impressions is it's attached to a sketchy motel on US Hwy 19 but the interior is welcoming. Service: we were immediately greeted and seated. Slow time when we arrived. We had a rough start with our server. She took our drink orders fairly quickly and they arrived timely. She then disappeared for a good 20+ mins causing me to look for her. She was in another banquet type room with another worker and I had to get her attention. She apologized and we had no other issues. Food: This was the highlight of the experience. The food was authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. I had the pernil (pork) with arroz con habichuelas (rice & beans). My wife had the carne frita (fried beef) and also had arroz con habichuelas. We had to ask for a kids menu for our son and he had pollo frito y papas (fried chicken and fries) which was a good portion size. I also ordered a alcapurria (fried plantain w/ meat) which was outstanding and also a side of tostones (fried plantains). Food was a 9 out of 10. During our meal we noticed a band was setting up but we didn't get to stay long enough to enjoy it. We want to return and enjoy that experience in the future. Overall it was a good value on the food. Service wasn't perfect but not the worst. The servers appear very young. We will come back again solely on the food.

Went to the Palm Harbor location around 3 pm on Saturday, the place was literally empty. Music was great but a little too loud. The restaurant was decently clean but it wasn't impressive. The beef empanadas were good. The pork(pernil) was a little salty and the rice and pigeon peas lacked flavor. Their prices are too high and the food was not all great! Would I go back?... No

The service was friendly, and the food was great. Felt like I was in San Juan again with the Salsa/Meringue, music. I had the fried chicken with white rice and fried yuca. This is a new place and deserves the chance to be successful. If you love Caribbean cuisine, this is the place you need to come to! They take pride in fresh made to order specialties along with simpler fare like Cuban sandwiches. Full bar with a great view of the lagoon behind the Vista Hotel. I predict this will be a popular place to come eat and savor popular libations. A new place breathing new life into a location that's been around for a while. Finally a fresh spin on Latin Cuisine in a great location!!!

Restaurant is apparently closed. Multiple notices posted on front doors. If it wasn't as long a drive, perhaps the Largo restaurant might be an option.

Walked in Friday late afternoon, place had one couple only. Nobody to greeted me by the door. I grabbed a menu and sat myself down by the window. . Young girl later comes over asked me if I wanted something to drink. I asked for a lemonade. So I automatic thought it had done sugar. It didn't but she didn't even ask. Do I asked for sugar...brown sugar. She brings equal and Splenda. I told her I don't use that. So she went back and brought white sugar in a small container. I ordered asopao de camarones.(Soup of rice and shrimp) A small bowl..it came out in large soup plate. Oh well. Rice was hard, NO cilantro. If you are Latino you know soups have cilantro in them, well this one didn't. That gives it a nice soup flavor. So I called the young lady over and asked her this soup doesn't have cilantro and she said "oh I don't know". I asked for the other gentleman that was in and out of kitchen and he said ok I'll chop as one up and brought it. So they had it why didn't they add it to the soup. . All the soup had was chopped red and green peppers. I eventually put the soup aside to take home and see if I could fix it at home it did have enough shrimps. So I had also ordered mofongo with pernil (pork). When it came out it was cold and fatty and tasteless. Puerto Rican food is supposed to be tasty sofrito, garlic warm. And no sauce for mofongo. You need to throw a little salsa over plátanos of the mofongo otherwise it can get a little hard. I called over the young lady I said you have some sauce or something to throw over mofongo. She said it's there mayo ketchup . I said that's for sandwiches. So she said that's all they have. So I called over the man that brought over cilantro. I asked for sauce or gravy and he said yes I'll bring some gravy from sauteed chicken. It tasted somewhat better. When I asked for bill I was Shocked to see they charged me for the gravy for mofongo. That's insane. That's part of meal or at least a courtesy for the customer. I told the young lady all she did was shrugged her shoulders. No customer satisfaction or service. Clients be aware. I Never complained. But this time I couldn't believe the service. I still left a tip.

Great food and service. Great location and plenty parking space. Very clean and good ambiance. No every restaurant the owner comes out and engages with the customers and for me that was a good sign of customer care. I'm definitely making this one the spot to go when the wife doesn't feel like cooking.

Incredible food with authentic Puerto Rican flavors, as well as great deals on lunch specials and drinks. Live music every Saturday night starting around 7-8pm as well. This is their new location that just opened up, it's definitely a hidden gem worth visiting
