Good place, need to improve the sushi presentation. The hibachi was a big portion for lunch. The service was great and the ambience as well. Just a touch on the sushi presentation.

We've lived in Plant City for 4 years and just discovered this delightful and relaxing sushi bar 2 weeks ago and have been back twice already! The service is great, the staff is super nice and yes, the sushi rolls are amazing. Wasabi is now on our top 5 list!

If you are in the area..gotta try this place. Hibachi dining at its best. Great ambiance, Fantastic portions, Tasty selections and the service is exceptional! But if your in the mood for a terrific LUNCH..the lunch specials are amazing also!! Bento Box comes w soup, ginger salad, rice, 3 gyoza, 4 pc sushi roll, and whatever you select from close to 10 different entrees. ( I happen to like the veggie tempura) FYI I can never finish my lunch here! And all for $10.49. Can't beat this place!! It's a winner in my book!!

A great hibachi option in the Plant City area. I came on a recent family dinner, and we were promptly seated for our reservation. You get the standard clear soup and salad with any hibachi meal option. Our chef was very interactive and the overall portions of my chicken and steak option were plentiful. This place gives the chain hibachi places a run for their money.

Loved Wasabi! I've been here once before 2 years ago and enjoyed my time and decided to bring the family when my brother said he wanted habachi for his birthday and this is the nearest spot to Lakeland that does the at table hibachi. My husband and I ordered the sushi and loved all 4 rolls. We ordered a side of fried rice as well and our table side chef was kind enough to also give us some of the noodles he cooked up. The noodles were my FAVE. Rolls we ordered: classic spicy tuna, chewy love roll, Santa Barbara roll, and the jalapeño special roll.Our chef for the dinner show was very entertaining. He gave us a great show and sang happy birthday with us. My family all ordered different varieties of the hibatchi. Things I had a bite of: The filet was very tender and the salmon was glazed in soy sauce and cooked PERFECTLY.After dinner, two of the servers came over with a delicious, light strawberry cake and sang happy with us to my brother.All the servers work so quick and efficient. Your water is never empty and to go boxes and check are brought to you without making you wait. Would definitely come back.

My wife and I just moved to Plant City a few months ago. We are working on trying out new and exciting places in this part of town. Our family told us Wasabi was a good place to go and we planned a night out with them to check it out.I made a reservation for 4 on Thursday for a Friday night hibachi dinner. The last time we went in on a Friday night without a reservation at 730pm, we were told it was a 2-hour wait.We walked into the dimly lit, loud, and crowded restaurant and were seated pretty quickly around our hibachi table. Our server came around and got us drinks. She then came back with our first dishes, a soup, and salad. If you've ever been to hibachi before, this is routine. A small house salad with ginger dressing and a mushroom soup usually starts things off. Both dishes were tasty and seemed about the norm. Nothing outstanding but good.Another party then joined our table and then our hibachi chef came out with his cart of goodies to cook. This was my first fully interactive hibachi dinner. Our chef was funny, relatable and entertaining. He got started on his routine, cooking up fried rice and noodles. Flames were ignited with oil and onions steamed like a train. Bits of the egg were saved to flip into people's mouths. I was volunteered to catch a piece and caught it on the first try. The chef went around the table and served up bits of egg to a few people. It was fun. Ample servings of fried rice were doled out and then on to the noodles. Our chef also served up some saki from a squirt bottle. I got doused in it but that was a fun experience too.I ordered the chicken and steak combo for dinner. My wife just got the steak. We let the chef know how we wanted it cooked and he did a pretty good job of making sure mine was medium and my wife's medium-well. The steak was a bit chewy, not the highest quality but it was well-seasoned and tasty. We slowly ate away at the dishes and had light conversations with the chef and others at the table.Towards the end, we got the chicken and veggies. The chicken was flavorful and tender, not overcooked. The veggies were ok. Not as flavorful but yum yum sauce enhanced them.This hibachi trip was decent. I've only ever been to Kobe before so this was very familiar. We had good company with our family and a hearty entertaining meal. I'd go again.

We would give them a zero star if we could. Drove out of the way to come here for lunch got here before 2 o'clock. They're open till three, was told the bar as well as the hibachi tables did not open till five. There's nothing in their advertisement about this.Thanks for wasting our time driving an hour to come dine with you.

Business was clean and staff was friendly. The food however was bleh. We didn't do the hibachi show bc there was a wait and we had kids and didn't really care if there was a show or not so they said they had plenty seats on the other side so we sat. Service was quick, but the food came with NO seasoning. Normal noodles are brown, these are orange and taste like spaghetti noodles. We had to ask for sauce and refills. I was not impressed at all. I will stay in Polk county and go to our hibachi options in the future, will never return here.
