Walsingham Meat Market

The clerk was a young guy, on his phone the whole time and a bit rude. But, whatever, I didn't come to make friends. The place could definitely be cleaner, as others have mentioned. However, I love little shops like this and I got a great deal on the oxtail I was looking for, and the rabo encendido I made with it was fire. He couldn't give me a couple lbs of pork belly though, which I thought was unusual.

YUCK!!! The smell is absolute horrible. Im not sure about everyone else but when i walk into a meat store that's properly clean and taken care of it should not smell like meat. I've been to plenty different meat stores and this by far is the worst. Decided to give them a try then going all the way to south St. Pete... Let's just say, I made that drive after leaving here. The store is not clean at all and his prices are way to high. I'll pass on this market. To each his own tho.

Amazing Filets! Bought a whole loin for the 4th. It was an absolute HIT! Highly recommend this meat market. We used to pay $14.99 to $16.99 per pound at Costco. No way Jose! This is our new found meat butcher much closer to our house. Bravo!!! Thank you - we're telling our our friends.

Gross! I walked in and right back out. It smelled like sour meat covered up with cleaning products

My girlfriend and I buy sliced chicken and other meats from this store and are thrilled we found it and return often. The quality of their chicken and meats is great. We are confident that the meat is good enough for dehydrating for jerky and to give our dogs. (very risky if not good enough quality). I would highly recommend them and add that their pricing is very fair.

Toughest steaks ever. My brother was visiting (wk of 10/17) and wanted fresh steaks to grill. The guy cut 4 ribeyes for us--so big that we cut 2 in half for 4 people and froze the rest. They were so tough and chewy that we couldn't eat them. Defrosted and grilled the other 2 this evening to see if they were any better. Nope. All went into the trash. Don't waste your money here.

Just found this place, the first time in just to see what it was like. The owner was VERY nice even though we didn't buy anything. Went today and everyone (owner included) was great. Got the 5 for $20 deal, chicken, beef stew, bacon,h-burg. Everything looks good. These people talking about a "smell", maybe it was you. Will report back after cooking but so far so good.
