So y'all already know that I'm a Clementine Chef girl. Anything that the Sommers family makes, I WILL eat. Because these people throw down and are the kindest, most personable chefs you've ever met. And y'all! This new grab and go pop up does NOT disappoint.Do you ever miss being able to pay a reasonable price for a burrito that's got all the goods inside? And not having to pay extra for guac in your veggie burrito! Because I do! And guess what! That's back with Vortex Mex!!!!The cauliflower chorizo that they make is my favorite food in the world. Truly. They could put it in nearly anything and I'd eat it...so a burrito is a very reasonable choice. The flavor profile of this whole thing is fire. The red hot sauce? As a big fan of spice, this even has my nose - running a little! But the burn is WORTH IT for the flavor the sauce packs.And don't even get me started on the size....I truly thought that I was holding a baby when they handed me the bag (with two burritos in it). This thing is huuuuge, which means it's filled with allll the good stuff!Anyways - get to Vortex Mex stat. You won't regret it. I'll be going back at every possible chance for the foreseeable future!

Found them on instagram and decided to give them a try. They are a ghost kitchen near Lowry park zoo so you order on their website and once you arrive they have a sign out front to let them know your there. Then they bring your order out to you. As soon as I texted them The gentleman was out maybe less than 5 minutes and was very friendly. The smoked pork tacos were phenomenal! The flavor was spot on and melt in your mouth tender. The chips were on the thicker side but I love them with the gauc. Definitely would order here again!

They use fresh homemade tortillas and have the best taco carnitas you will ever have. This Texas couple transplant knows how to do TexMex the right way!

Scratch made delicious food. All the high quality meats and ingredients are prepared with care and patience (you can taste the marinading and roasting). Easy ordering, easy pickup. It always feels like a treat to order Vortex Mex!

These guys' tacos single-handedly took me on an odyssey outside of my body, never in my life have I felt such a desire -no, a need- to give aplomb to a food item. From the diligently pressed tortillas to the beef literally marinated in its own juices just to exponentially elevate the flavor, I would leave 6 stars if yelp allowed. Served with a smile, anyone and everyone will leave with a full heart and belly.
