We visited Vista at the Top on a slow weekday and it was relaxing. We ordered a few appetizers to share, and the food was really good. One of the highlights was a surprise free quesadilla (I think if you ordered over a certain amount of food $), which was such a kind gesture from the staff! The only downside was the beer selection. I wish there had been better options (I'm kind of picky and like ciders and sours), so I ended up ordering a seltzer instead. Despite that, the overall experience was pleasant, and we appreciated the hospitality. Also, there's obviously a great view!

We stopped in here for dinner after spending a few hours at Fort De Soto Dog Beach with our two dogs. It is located on the 7th floor of the hotel and is lit up with string lights, so you can see it before pulling into the parking lot. There was live music playing when we got there, not sure if this is an every Thursday night thing or not. There are several little sections to sit in, but you can still enjoy the views and music from any of them. Large, lush trees, bushes, and grasses fill up planters all around the rooftop. The patio-type furniture was really comfortable, sturdy, and trendy. They also had plenty of umbrellas for the day time to keep everything shaded as well as ceiling fans to help keep you cool. We got there around 9:15ish, so it was already dark and had a really nice breeze. It was giving off an upscale-beach-vibe, but on a rooftop overlooking the bay/nearby businesses. We were beyond hungry by the time we arrived and there was only one staff member working the bar/all the tables. She was so sweet and never rushed us even though she must have been stressed herself (it ended up being quite busy towards the end of the night). We each ordered a blonde ale that was on draft and a burger that came with fries. The beer was crisp and hit the spot! We each agreed that the burger was one of the best burgers we've ever had. I even ate all of it- bun and all, which I normally do not eat. This may be slightly because we were so hungry from being in the sun all day, but mostly because it really was great. The patty was seasoned really well, perfectly cooked, and all of the toppings were fresh. The fries were very thick cut, almost like potato wedges. The whole meal was 10/10 and I loved being able to sit on a rooftop with our dogs and enjoy dinner and the breeze. We would 100% dine here again.

I wanted to find a wine bar in that area, and this recommendation popped up. Now, I didn't read everything carefully so I didn't know it was on the roof of a hotel. Which meant, you had to go through the hotel lobby, into the elevator, and up onto the roof. Well, it was totally worth it. Really beautiful, rooftop bar, comfortable with great views, and really good service. On Friday evenings, they seem to have live music as well. The guy that was playing with the guitar that one evening, he was really good, played some really great 80s and 90s songs.the food is not necessarily the best but the drinks are good and interview is stellar.

For my first review of March '2023, I'd love to rave about Vista at the Top. Vista at the Top is located at the Residence Inn on Tierre Verde. This is the same area where you can find Fort De Soto State Park.Next door they also have the Island Grille and Raw Bar. We had to check out both places. This one was my fave of the two places. It's on the top floor and it's open to the public not just the hotel guests. They have nice views of the marina and seeing over the bridge to get back to St. Pete Beach.Everyone working was so friendly. So we ordered two drinks, a mango mixed drink and a Pina Colada. They were great and the Pina Colada was nice and creamy too.I also ordered a watermelon feta salad which was great and I simply loved it and cleaned the plate. What I love about this roof top scenic spot is that it's also dog friendly.I'll be back for sure and I will bring friends in town and out of town. It's that nice. They also have happy hour so check that out! I forget the time and day but that would be so worth it.

The food was fair but not great. The server was pleasant but service very slow. The sell of the eatery is the view which was good but you can't see the sunset from either side. So with all those butts I recommend you bring a friend and have a drink or two , enjoy the view, and if you want a sunset get to the park before it closes.

It's a nice place to go to grab a beer, wine or cocktail and snack and enjoy the view. But if you're going on the weekend be sure to check first because it's a popular place for wedding receptions and private parties so they close it to the public. Seems every time we stay at the hotel it's closed. Beyond that it would be great if they served burgers and sandwiches because the small plates don't satisfy. If this review helped you let me know with a little feedback. Thanks and bon appetito

I really like this place. Beautiful views, live music , super friendly staff, good service and dog friendly!!Brought a couple friends here on a weekday afternoon and we were super pleased. We ordered some cocktails and opted for the field mushroom toast and the potato bravas. The mushroom toast was absolutely delicious. In fact I recreated it at home a week later! The potato bravas, eh, nothing impressive. They were basically just fries with chimichurri sauce, not the traditional style but ok nonetheless.I went back a couple weeks later , solo, and sat at the bar. It was Cinco de mayo so the bartender was making some killer margaritas and letting us sample them (think a smoked mezcal margarita!) Love this place! (Shhh..don't tell the tourists!)

Bland generic atmosphere. Slow service. Tiny portions for the price. Decent view though!

A rooftop bar on the 7th floor of the Tierra Verde Residence Inn, Vista at the Top has breathtaking views of the Marina and the Tierra Verde area on two sides. They also have a dazzling and ornate Sunday Brunch loaded with delectable and appetizing options from which to choose. A veritable feast for the eyes and tummy. On Sunday, they had music in the form of a steel drum player emoting an island vibe and sounds. A beautiful, sunny and cool day that was perfect for an outdoor experience. The striking and elegant fare was meticulously and ornately laid out for your perusal and selection. Cost is $65 per person and cocktails are available at the bar.A titallating and evocative start to your day surrounded by resplendent beauty and an enticing and nurturing meal. A great bucket list treat for a special occasion. Weather can be an issue if it's raining so check your forecast prior to your visit.

We had a fantastic night at the roof top Charcuterie workshop with 6 close friends. Chef Dakota did an amazing job prepping and teaching us how to assembly a charcuterie board. High quality meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts. Homemade exotic sauces. I would definitely sign up for another class they offer! It was chilly and windy but they knew how to set up in the perfect spot and had heaters for us. We all had a blast!
