Since the first time my wife and I picked up pizza from here, whenever we have a hankering for pizza we don't go anywhere else. We usually get the double pepperoni pizza (16-inch), which came out to $30.87 with 10% tip. The pizza is very good, and very slightly spicy. Good cheese pull, crust is a good thickness. We have also had the bruschetta al prosciutto on previous occasions, which has arugula, fig preserves, shaved parmigiano, and balsamic glaze drizzle. It is very fresh and very very good. We don't get it when we are getting pizza for takeout, because getting both the pizza and bruschetta is a bit expensive and very greedy. I would highly recommend it though. Overall, on a scale of 5, I would give Via Italia a 4.8/5 (only because it is a little on the expensive side). On a scale of 10, I would give it a 9/10.

I've passed by this spot many times visiting other restaurants around it, but today I tried them out. I'm doing the Daniel's Fast right now, so I was in search of tasty vegan options in the area. I came across their menu. I ordered the Le Pizza Vegan which is basically sauce, vegan cheese, oregano, and extra virgin olive oil. It comes in a 12" size; which if you're not too hungry, can be shared. It's a thin pizza, so you might eat 3-4 slices. It smelled good so I was excited to eat it. It was different, but it was tasty enough. I would recommend to give it a try. I ordered takeout, so I'm not sure how the service is. I was in and out as I ordered and paid online. The restaurant appeared clean and well kept.

Absolutely loved this dining experience and knew it would be good when every seat was filled when we walked in on a weeknight! Their founder was from Sicily and the food is incredibly authentic to Italy. We ordered the burrata with grilled vegetables, eggplant parmigiana, red pesto pasta and Diavolo pizza. Everything had fantastic flavors and rich, bold sauces. The tomatoes tasted sweet and citrusy like the ones grown in Italian soil.I loved that each dish had attention to detail, like the sweet-tanginess of the vinaigrette drizzled on the mellow burrata cheese served with smoky charred vegetables and oregano dusted crostini, it all harmonizes and balances every component of highlighted flavors. The pizza had a nice bitterness of arugula with a hearty mozzarella and marinara based pie, I also really enjoyed the crispness of the crust. I really think the pastas are a highlight of the venue, lots of people ordered the vongole around us, so will definitely be back to try that next time. If you're a fan of eggplant parm, the one they serve here is not to be missed. It hits all the savory notes and is topped with the freshest melted mozzarella cheese.I was so grateful to find this restaurant, it is absolutely one of the best dining options in the area and for a busy/crowded night, the service was fantastic and attentive as well!

One of the best pizza and Italian restaurants in Tampa Bay and it's so close to our home! I also love their happy hour deals that spices through $5 Italian Cocktails. We love over-orderinf and taking pizza home bc they are just as good second day and after! Staff is always friendly and it is a good place for family as well as date nights because the bar is always bumping! We tried Delgazio (sp?) recommended as the top seller. I think we prefer our normal mushroom pizza better but that may be because our favorite nightshades are mushrooms, not eggplants. Still very tasty. We also got the walnut and gorgonzola salad, smaller custom pizza (mushrooms and bacon) and half size pasta. They don't have kids menu but it's nice they have half portion options. For drinks highly recommend Italian mule and Italian sunrise. Little on the sweet side but refreshing.

Did a Togo order this time around. Ordering online was simple and order was ready to go by the time I got there. Quick in and out!Customer service is always nice and polite. Also had to grab some Italian cookies as they are delicious. Both are soft with light flavor. Not overly sugary in flavor at all.

A friend suggested to dine here for dinner, and, I admit, I was a little skeptical. But, on arriving on a Friday night, it was very busy, which is a very good sign. The wait would be 20 minutes for our party of four.Less than 15 minutes and we were called for a high-top table. Pouring over the multiple-selection menu, it was tough to select a choice. Fortunately, I saw you can a half pasta order for $11! Oh, yes! The Farfalle al Salmone description looked good and was definitely a winner. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating, food delicious, company enjoyable---what's not to love? And, one of the friends offered to share her Tiramisu. I could not say "No". Wow, I highly recommend their tiramisu if you've got room for dessert!Looking forward to returning and trying another delicious menu item. And, hoping to have room for their tiramisu. :-D

It's been a while since we have been here. So much so, that much of the menu had changed. I had to say though, I did not remember the food being as good as it was. I actually debated on going back the next day because the taste was still lingering in my mind. Their specials every day are a good thing to keep track of. Great time and plan on making this a regular stop for us now.

WHERE'S THE COLPO DOPPIO?! *Cries* it's been over a year since we've been here and I'm sad to see my favorite appetizer is no longer on the menu. I used to order it every time but will admit it was not consistently presented but hey, don't take it away! Okay, now that I have that off my chest, on to what I did have recently...we ordered a half order of each pasta dish and a pizza to share with my husband. We LOVED the pasta (see photo captions for what we ate). I absolutely love pappardelle pasta so I will say I loved my plate more than hubby's. The Diavolo pizza was also delicious but the ingredients made the pizza dough VERY soggy. Maybe pat the roasted peppers dry before placing them? Crust was crispy. Service was excellent. I do hate how much sound carries in here but otherwise, the restaurant was very clean. Bathroom was clean. I feel like I forgot how much I used to love this place! But happy to say, I'll still be recommending it to friends. Especially the pasta.

We are from Minnesota. Our son lives on the outskirts of Tampa and he took us to this restaurant during our stay in this week. I just want to say that we had the best time! Great service. Great food. Very easy making reservations! If you would like some amazing lobster ravioli, please go there! My husband had the pizza and it was the best we ever had! Thanks for the hospitality!!The Sandmanns
