Gorgeous place with exquisite guests, hosts and wait staff.Outrageous prices, but everything is perfect here, a jewel in the rough.Went all vegetarian this time, I would need to get a loan to eat animals here.Dining outside is fabulous!

What is this odd location? How did my friends find this place? Don't know, but it was good! Chill environment, mood lighting, you can dress up, or relax seems up to you. Bar was full, it was raining g, so outside was empty but heat lamps for those who don't live the 5-6 nights we have below 50! Enjoyed the apps, oysters and the fish special - all were very tasty.Drinks and dinner was a tad expensive- perhaps this is the new norm? My pockets need to be deeper to frequent this place, but for a sassy night out, it hit the mark

3.5 stars - biiiig highlights and a few lowlights. If we had only ordered the main dishes, this would've been an easy 5 star meal. The location is absolutely gorgeous - very open and modern. We arrived in time for happy hour, and so ordered an old fashioned, the chili lime wings, and the tuna crunch sushi roll off the happy hour menu. We also ordered the hamachi crudo, the black cod/smoked cod tortellini dish, the ribeye cooked pittsburgh style ('black n blue') with a side of chimichurri, and the twice baked potatoes side. A note about before moving onto food details - our waiter was really sweet, but mistook our order of hamachi crudo for hamachi roll (no biggie), which then took an additional 20+ min to come out. The chili lime wings were also forgotten until well after our mains came out and after we asked about it a couple times.Old fashioned - really delicious, a bit sweeter rather than bitter but that's my preference so I was thrilled with this! Drinks were a nice size as wellTuna crunch sushi roll - wish I had taken a photo as the roll sizes were vastly different sizes. There were two really thin pieces and two pieces literally triple the size of the small ones. The flavor was a solid okay- I probably wouldn't get it again, even at a happy hour price.Hamachi crudo - a good size and the fish itself was very fresh and delicious dipped in soy! the green sauce was wayyyyyy overpowering with truffle flavor. Even as someone who really enjoys truffle flavor, this was way overdone.Chili lime wings - surprisingly had no flavor or spice. Unfortunately another miss for us. Black cod and smoked cod tortellini - That smoked cod tortellini is absolutely delicious. Black cod is such a gorgeous fish and this highlighted it so beautifully. Loved the sauce, loved the cook on the fish, loved the pearl onions hanging out with the pasta. A must get!!Ribeye - We got it pittsburgh style, so the char was intentional!! So so delicious. Although it had a nice char, there wasn't any burned flavor, and it was beautifully cooked on the inside. Even though the flavor was perfect on its own, I LOVED the chimichurri and would absolutely recommend. It took the steak from fantastic to even better!!Twice baked potatoes - Twice baked potatoes are lowkey my favorite food in the world, and unfortunately, these were totally flavorless. Had to ask and add a bunch of salt and pepper, but even then, had no idea where the smoked gouda flavor went lol.So all in all, I would recommend Union!! I may have come on an off night - I had heard unilaterally fantastic things from friends and family before coming. I would definitely come back for the steaks and the fish dishes, but probably would stick with only those. Happy eatings!

Had a reservation for upstairs. It was my man birthday and there were a few people we knew already sitting upstairs. Politely we asked to be moved so we didn't get interrupted. They moved us downstairs outside and it was PERFECT. The music the lighting the service the food. We will be back for sure!

Came here for brunch. We made reservation same day, and had no issue getting a table. Service was nice and attentive. Ambiance is definitely modern and chic. They have very beautiful outdoor dining and also very nice indoor. Second floor is for events I believe. The menu for brunch is not very long, and honestly I had trouble finding things I wanted. At the end we got crudo to start and I had crabcake Benedict and my husband had chilaquilas. Food was pretty good. We also had non alcoholic drinks. Unfortunately just 2 options for mocktails. Also just two options for a salad. Overall we had a great experience, I would like to come for a dinner one day. They had sushi selection for brunch, but even though I love sushi, I don't think I can do brunch sushi. Definitely recommend.

I decided to pop in to Union for Happy Hour and was not disappointed! They had such unique options for drinks and food, which were all great. The espresso martini was delicious but so were the other cocktail options. The restaurant itself is beautiful with a super cute little rooftop area to lounge at. The only thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was the service. When we were ordering, we kept getting rushed when the waitress would come up to us and then we would wait a long time for someone to come by. Apart from that, I honestly can't complain.

The decor and food overall great. After going for the first time, I came back like a week later. All of the seafood items we had were fantastic, I think this is definitely where they shine. The hamachi crudo and sea bass satay were my favorites. The only thing we did not enjoy was the beef short rib - usually short ribs are super tender but this was incredibly tough and dry. Definitely pass on this item.Service was good overall, however when we ordered a rye Manhattan our server recommended Angel's Envy, a decent brand so we went with that. When the bill came, we found out they were $34 a drink! For reference, a small bottle on angels envy is under $30 at the store. The manager did come by and offer a round of drinks on the house afterwards but we were already on our way out when they stopped by our table.

I went to Union New American for a work lunch and was very impressed! Service was on point and the restaurant was devoted for Christmas and I loved it. I had the seasonal duck salad and a mezcal drink. Both were delicious! I would love to return.

A beautiful dining experience at Union.Met my friend here for dinner and the food was delicious. Tried the well known Parker house milk bread which was soft and had a beautiful formed crust. I can say we were both big fans of their king Cali roll and their speciality tuna crispy rice. The dry aged pork chop was perfectly cooked and the bourbon glaze added a nice touch. Definitely a cute spot for a girls night or date night. Also the have nice outside seating and rooftop seating.
