Twistee Treat - Valrico

Classic ice cream spot. Great for soft serve ice cream on wafer cones. Other creative options like banana splits, sundaes, or twisted ice cream treats. Dog and kid friendly. Family gathering spot. Service was friendly and quick. Drive thru is also available.

I had driven past Twistee Treat several times on my way home from work because the ice cream shaped hut stands out from the rest of the unassuming strip mall. I am not an ice cream connoisseur by any means but I was getting tired of driving down to the water ice place to get a frozen treat and decided to try Twistee Treat since it's closer to my house. I've come here in both the daytime and nighttime and they are already friendly and speak clearly when ordering through the drive-through. They don't even sound bothered if you ask questions or ask for a moment to view the menu. There is a drive through as well as walk-up windows. They also have a small patio area that you can sit and eat in if you want to go that direction. It was blocked off temporarily due to COVID restrictions but I think they have it "socially-distanced" now. I usually pretty vanilla when it comes to ice cream orders, so I usually just get a large vanilla in a cake cone with sprinkles. I did have a caramel sundae one time and it was such a sugar overload for me that I think I'll have to stick to my usual in the future. There are so many options so take your time to look at the menu and maybe try something new. They also have slushies and banana splits and all kinds of sundaes. The ice cream tastes much better than other places around the area in my opinion. I also come to Twistee Treat because it reminds me of a place I used to go to back in my home state. So it has nostalgic value for me. The prices are reasonable as well. The only downsides of getting ice cream is that it either melts too fast (so eat it outside your car or get it in a cup) or it's gone in a flash because it's so good. It can be pretty busy in the evening when people are trying to go out for dessert so be patient and try to have your order ready so the line keeps moving.

I didn't have to wait very long to enjoy my ice cream. The girl that helped me was Paloma. She was so well mannered and kind. I will return in the very near future.

This was delicious. So good, I didn't get to take a picture of my perfectly sized twist cone. Staff was friendly and the building is too cute!

This has to be my absolute favorite ice cream spot! Twisty treat is just down the road from me and is go go to spot for my sweet tooth. They have tons of different ice cream options. They also have a Twirl, this allows you to add up to 2 candies mixed into the ice cream. The ice cream itself is so smooth and delicious. The staff are always super sweet and friendly. The prices are great, I would say half the cost of the other chain ice cream shops.Prior to Covid they would set out sidewalk chalk for kids and different games to enjoy while sitting outside. Another great thing that they offer is that they have puppy cups. My fur babies absolutely love to visit! They are served on a small cup with a dog treat on top. They also offer a rewards program, which in my case is used frequently to earn free ice cream!Highly recommend! If your looking for a great go to ice cream shop stop here!

LOVE Twistee Treat! A great little spot for soft serve of all kinds -shakes, cones, sundaes, and even non-ice cream options like slushees and hot dogs. The building itself is adorable as a huge soft serve cone :)Our cashier Ryan was so friendly, and the service was super quick - tables were all very clean too.

Pretty decent place to get a late night treat! Prices are super inexpensive, the employees were very sweet, and we didn't have that long of a wait! They have cute little picnic tables so that you can sit outside instead of attempting to eat your sweet treats in the car. The only issue we had is the fact that the bathrooms weren't unlocked at the time we went, so we were unable to wash our toddler's hands and face... Modern day problems call for modern day solutions- We hosed him off with the water hose on the patio, problem solved! Lastly, this location didn't carry some of the flavors listed on the website (or at least I didn't notice the amaretto flavor that I REALLY wanted!) But everything we got tasted great! I loved my husband's pistachio ice cream! My brownie boat was definitely way too much for just one person, so I highly recommend sharing with someone if you order one of those or a banana split- they are huge! Also heads up on the ice cream cones- don't order a large unless you can really put some ice cream down and do it fast. My husband's small cone was massive!

This ice cream place is good. I especially enjoy their soft served vanilla in a waffle cone. The kids love it too! The only complaint I have is something which plagues all businesses like this, the hired help. Don't let that stop you from visiting the place!

We came by for some birthday ice creamWe had butterfinger mix in, Oreo milk shake, coffee ice cream hot fudge sundae and black cherry ice cream hot fudge sundae. The mix in and shake were good. That being said my coffee sundae was given to me with nuts and no hot fudge and the blackcherry sundae also did not have hot fudge. He did fix it when we asked about it but mine was very melted by the time I actually got to eat it. We will not be back for birthday ice cream.

This is a great little spot that we needed here in the Valrico area since all the other ice cream spots are so far away we typically get a milk shake which are always great my daughter got a tornado thing which was gummy bears and vanilla soft serve and I got a brownie sunday that was delicious we have ordered other items before and they have always gotten our orders accurate and they move pretty fast to serve you as well
