Tsunami sushi is one of my favorite Sushi joints In the brandon / riverview area. I have a few favorites but they are definitely included. One of the rolls that I get frequently is the Volcano Roll. It's so good. I like this place a lot because they are fast and friendly and the food is delicious. Definitely check them out if you are in the mood for some Sushi!

I had heard a lot about this place and finally decided to give it a try. Overall, the experience was good: the service was friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was enjoyable. However, while I liked the sushi, I wouldn't say it was the best I've ever had.We started with miso soup and fried gyozas, both of which were delicious. The soup, in particular, had a great flavor. As for the sushi, it was good, and the presentation of the dishes was well done. In summary, it was a pleasant experience, though not especially memorable when it comes to the sushi.

This sushi spot is banging! Their sushi is fresh and delicious. The portions are great too! Service was top-notch, with attentive staff ensuring we had everything we needed. We decided to try a new place for us for sushi. Tsunami was very good and can see why they have been in Brandon for so long.We got in right away and staff was friendly. Server was nice and did a good job. We had about 6 different sushi rolls and I hibachi plate.Hibachi was good. Your normal hibachi with chicken, veggies, fried rice, soup and salad. Son liked it and gave 2 thumbs up.The rest of us had sushi. Most was raw but we did have a couple rolls with cooked seafood. Presentation was great. Sushi was also very good. Sushi tasted fresh and all the ingredients tasted very good. The cooked roll was our least favorite but the others were very good. Menu has a lot of great choices. They really go all out with their presentation. Saw many great plates delivered to other tables as well. A top 3 sushi place for me.

Came for lunch today with my husband. I got a Florida roll and sesame tuna roll. He got the sushi bento box. Since we checked in on Yelp, we got the choice of a edamame or goyza as a free appetizer. We chose the goyza. It was fried perfectly and had a yummy dipping sauce. The sushi was fresh and made with the right amount of rice: not too much and not too little. Service was great as usual. Though we are not had water to drink, our glasses were kept full by our server Kobe. The booths were comfortable and the decor is tastefully done. Music was playing in the background and the lighting was We definitely recommend Tsunami!

Coming from NYC wasn't expecting good sushi in the middle of Florida, no offense intended :(. But right from the door met with a friendly family leaving the restaurant giving us a heads up that the food we were about to eat was really good. Servicer, Lisa, was efficient and friendly. The drinks, sweet tea and hot saki were excellent, the teriyaki entree, fried crab, salads, all delicious. The rolls took some time to wait for, but when they came, you could understand why, so big and so much, have to bag those to go :p. Highly recommend

Fabulous sushi!! When we moved from Brooklyn Heights NY, we were so sorry to leave our all time favorite sushi restaurant, Iron Chef. Well, we have found an equally good restaurant in Sarasota. They have many interesting rolls as well as great sushi and sashimi. We bring all our friends visiting Sarasota to Tsunami and everyone raves about it. We also go often with our Sarasota friends. If you love sushi, you will love this restaurant!
