We had been walking around Downtown St. Petersburg and decided to stop at Try Wine to... (wait for it)... try some wines. Try Wine has a variety of tasting stations on the entry-level and a sub-level that comprises more tasting stations, rows of bottles for sale, and a small, private area. We decided to do the option with the wine cards for my wife, and I that Try Wine put $100 to use at any of the tasting stations to sample from different bottles in 1-ounce, 3-ounce, or 6-ounce levels. We spent most of the time at tasting stations 3, 4, and 5, which had red wines from across the globe. Most of the wines were solid that we tried, and our server was nice and made sure we had what we needed. While we didn't determine a wine that we felt was worth buying a bottle, it was still a nice time for a couple of hours during the afternoon.

I recently visited Try Wine in St. Pete, FL, with my work company, and our first impression was nothing short of excitement and amazement. The unique ambiance and variety of wines caught our attention immediately, making it a place unlike any we've experienced before. The wine selection, ranging from reds to whites, old country to new country wines, and even dessert wines, was impressive. The interactive half-ounce, ounce, or glass serving options added a fun element to the experience. The card system for payment was user-friendly, allowing us to explore the diverse wine offerings effortlessly.Opting for a charcuterie board, we were eager to try the curated selection of treats. Priced at $40, the board included an array of tempting items. However, upon its arrival, we were surprised by its size, as it seemed barely sufficient for two people. The absence of meats was unexpected given the price, and the initial cheese and bread quality were not up to par.Nevertheless, the staff went above and beyond to address our concerns. They promptly replaced the cheeses, and in the end, they even comped the board, turning it into a learning opportunity. Despite our initial hesitation to inquire about certain aspects, the staff's kindness encouraged a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.Overall, Try Wine offers a unique and exciting wine-tasting experience, and while there were hiccups with the charcuterie board, the exceptional service and willingness to rectify concerns left a positive impression. I appreciate their commitment to customer satisfaction and the opportunity to expand my knowledge in a welcoming environment.

Wine is below par - tasted sour since they are all on "tap". Manager disputed my claims saying it was fine. He also hovered over our server who was new but very knowledgeable and made her (and us) feel uncomfortable. Price is very high, place not relaxing, and they also add tax and service charge on to each serving. A flight of wine less than 2 oz each ended up costing me $45.00! $36 for flight + 2.52 tax + $6.48 service fee! crazy....

The food here pairs perfectly with every single wine they have here. They've got wines from every single continent here and so many options! The service is beyond superior. I've never felt more at home outside of it in my life! Please ask for ELLAINA! She's the best!

We have been coming here since before they moved and we always have a great time. The last time was during covid when we were opening up as long as you were masked. Stopping in tonight to find a nice bottle to take home. So they seem to have a much bigger menu for food. Pizzas and fondues. We have had the fondue before and it was awesome so we grabbed some of that. Tasting around the wine 'walls' is so fun. You can have just a taste to make sure you like it but then grab a full glass or even a bottle of the ones you like. The staff here is awesome and very helpful. Great place to relax and enjoy wine tasting.

I do not want anyone to know about this spot because I'm obsessed with it. The food is the best. They have a sourdough pizza and it's yummy. I also love the service. The energy is always nice. I only want them to offer more sweet wines with a high alcohol percentage and moderate rate. I've been twice. I would come everyday if I lived nearby. I'd love to shoot content here one day.

Awesome new restaurant. I ordered from their fall menu, stuffed duck breast, with cranberry jam and candid mint leaf. Sorry I was hungry and I forgot to take a picture of the food. Lol One of the largest wine selection I've ever seen. Each bottle has a quick description of the wine, its rating, and price. Prices ranged from $14.00 and up up up! The employees were ALL very helpful and knowledgeable about each bottle of wine. With the food, wine bar and wine selection, made it a great experience and a high light to my St Petersburg trip.

Visiting my sister in St. Petersburg. Owners were not welcoming because we had our 10 year old and 8 year old with us. Mind you, we were planning to buy a few bottles of wine and leave. And we made that clear when we walked in. But the owner (?) did not want our kids anywhere in that place. They're not wild and I had asked them to sit down at the empty table that was downstairs to ease the owner's clear (and unnecessary) prejudice. But that wasn't sufficient. As a result of the Grinch-like attitude with which we were addressed, we were out of there in less than 2 minutes and found somewhere else to spend $250 on wine. After we left, my sister then told me she had experienced a similar vibe when she'd gone in a month earlier with a friend (no kids), but she hoped it was a one off so she didn't mention it before we went in. The experience is everything. You get to enjoy small samples of wine that you might not want to pay for a full glass or bottle. Intimate seating situation as well so this is a nice place for a quiet date. Very knowledgeable staff on top of everything. My friends and I were a party of 4 and stopped by a little after 9pm on a Saturday night. We were seated immediately and not rushed during our tasting. We chose to just pick 6 wines from their menu which were served in little beakers. Loved that! Great selections to choose from with prices starting around $4 per taster. Be prepared to spend money. As per other reviews, this is not really a place to go for food. I wish they had a good happy hour with charcuterie and wine specials. Wish list!

They have a great selection of metered wines. The real star is the chef. Last November we had one of the best prix fixed menus and wine pairings we have ever had. Sourdough ravioli was amazing, A5 wagyu tenderloin, burrata, etc. Everything tasted amazing! It was quiet and the service was wonderful.
