Tropico Rooftop Cantina

Tropica in Clearwater is the perfect spot for a relaxing poolside lunch with Mexican cuisine. The ambiance is laid-back and sunny, with a fun vibe.I ordered the Cantina Bowl with shrimp. They were so generous with the shrimp. It was a satisfying and light lunch that felt just right for a warm, breezy afternoon by the pool.

A lovely spot, a lot of breeze, a lot of sun, a lot of beautiful people, the pool is packed with tourist, And the food is pretty decent.Our server was absolutely amazing, he gave us the best advice he could on the food. I can't remember his name in the moment. He was pretty good. The drink was delicious as well both of them. The problem was the ceviche, it was basic and just lack the whole Lotta flavor. On top of the fact that the shrimp was not deveined it definitely was more of a turn off. Outside of that, I had the bowl and the bowl was delicious. The pork valley was really the star of the show and it brought the ingredients like rice, lettuce, and guacamole to life. That was one delicious dish and I probably help push this to a four star review. I will be back at some point for more views and sea breeze.

The best restaurant, best food and views right inside the resort. The Barbecue Wings are a must have, they have a house made seasoning that makes it unique in flavor, trust me, it taste like no other Wings you had had. Excellent tasty food, best of the best and drinks too. The waitress was so sweet and attentive, she gave us a great overview of the place, and things to do. Best get away ever.

The service was kind of slow and two times they brought the wrong order for us and some of our dishes missed some of the ingredients that were mentioned on the menu. But the food ingredients were fresh and I really liked the dressings. Also that place is beautiful.

Party of 4, 1st time visiting. Lunch experience - i really has a cruise ship vibe with much better food. The food was really good and the server Marshel was awesome! But the management is top shelf!

It was a cold day out on the rooftop in December; but, we were very happy with the food, beverages, and service from Tropico Rooftop Cantina, the Hyatt's Poolside Bar. We ordered Grilled Oysters, which were fantastic - fresh, flavorful; and, grilled perfectly.We also had Chips, Salsa and Guacamole; all the components were fresh and tasty. I had the Smokey Passion Fruit Sour, which I enjoyed so much, I ordered another. And, my wife had a Mojito. Our cabana came stocked with soft drinks, so our daughter didn't order anything; but, she enjoyed the heat and the TV inside. We had a great time.

Called hotel and asked to be transferred to restaurant to make reservations and the person answering at the Hyatt said they would take the reservation. Advised they would call back if there is an issue with the reservation. No call received. Showed and was told there is no reservation, that reservations aren't needed. Told it's a bar not a restaurant. Outside rooftop setting was nothing special, barely even looked like a restaurant establishment. We left so confused. So many other places nearby. Not worth the trouble.

The initial bar tender today was a little rude and we almost left... but then... Taylor took over. She was super nice, fast and efficient so we stayed. The steak nachos were great too!

Food and service are average. However the sunset view is amazing. Plus you get parking validated up to three hours so we park here when visiting the beach.

We ate here during our stay at the Hyatt. The chicken sandwich was one big chunk of yellow fat and not edible. The jalapeño burger was only half eaten. The pulled chicken rice bowl consisted of the same fatty chicken. The kid's grilled cheese was consumed. We didn't order anything else besides Happy Hour chips & salsa over the remainder of the week-long stay. We avoided the other restaurants in the Hyatt because we assumed it was all sourced from the same vendor. The wait staff was always friendly.
