Tostones

My first time stopping in since they converted from a truck to a restaurant. My favorite place for patacons, salchipappas, chicharrones and mofongo.Service was quick and friendly. Atmosphere is very casual. Indoor and outdoor seating available.Food was served hot and fresh. So excited they finally made this into a brick and mortar latin. Can't wait to go back!

I never knew eating meat out of a bowl made from fried plantains was an option before coming here, but now I wonder how I've lived so long without it. Came here on a Friday evening, I had no wait to order, but everything is made fresh so it took about 20 minutes. There's a couple of tables, but certainly no guarantees you'll get a seat and there isn't too much else in the area so taking it to go might be your best bet. I had two tostones rellenos, one with honey sriracha chicken and one with Latin pork. Of the two meats the chicken was my favorite, the sweet heat coupled with the mild sweetness from the plantain was fantastic. Their menu has a ton of creative options, if I lived in the area I could certainly see this becoming a staple spot of mine.

Horrible place to eat. Price when up chicken on steroids, they was HUGE never seen a chicken so big in my life. The tostones was so thin that it was horrible greasy

This place is sooooooo good! I've been twice and the food has been consistently good. I would say call before coming just to cut down on the wait time but it's never been more than 30min and it's made fresh

Ok... best Tostones I have had to date... they were crispy, soft, salty, and delicious! Yum! The Chicharron de Pollo (Fried Chicken) I had with the tostones... wow! Good flavor, and fun to eat (HOT! Should have let them cool a bit, but I was hungry, and they were yummy!) I will be back! And already thinking of what I want.. so many choices! :)

This rating is solely based on my first experience. I do plan to try them again in the future to try other dishes. Anybody that truly knows me will understand my love affair with Plantains. I've been eating it since I was a kid growing up in the islands. Wifey picked up some Tostones Nachos to try, and this is my take. I was a bit surprised to learn this wasn't an appetizer but a meal which is fine with me, long as it's good. I had mixed feelings, if you love the taste of Mayo then stop reading and go buy these Nachos. I personally don't care for Mayo, if it's in a sauce and it's not overpowering, I'm game. Unfortunately that was not the case with these Nachos.For one, the actual plantation was cooked very well, it tasted great, if anything, I felt they could've added a few more tostones considering the price. Now the topping was what ruined it for me. It was Mayo overload. I can still taste it. I'll try a few other dishes at some point and bump up the rating if necessary. But for now, it's a two for me.

I had 2 stuffed tostones with pork. My husband had the most delicious mofongo with chicharrones de pollo. Will definitely be back!!!

They do an amazing job with their tostones creations!! The shrimp tostones nachos I ordered were insanely good and I can't wait to go back and try more menu items and other filling options. They over did the sauce a little bit for my liking so next time I know to get it on the side or ask for light sauce! Ordering was quick and easy and my food came out within 10 minutes. There's a few seats available to eat on site with a nice atmosphere !

From out of town but tried the Patacon o Jibarito with chicken. Convenient location and parking. There's a small sit down area but of course it's a food truck so not too much to be expected. The meal was pretty decent. I found it to be quite oily but for the price you can't beat the quantity. Many people swear by this place but I wasn't overly pleased with the quality of the chopped chicken meat. The spicy sirarcha sauce which came with it was the highlight.

Y'all. I have been fan girling Tostones IG for the longest and finally took my behind there and all I can say is OMFG!! The nachos. Amazing! Chicken chicharron= mind blown. They legit do amazing things with tostones. Pull up and see. Outdoor atmosphere at the food truck on Waters is bomb with this weather. My photos are trash because my wife took them and she's easily annoyed, my apologies.
