My girlfriends & I have been here a few times over the last year, mostly when it was Uncle Fats. This location is perfect for us because we are coming from Land O'Lakes and Town & Country. Now, it's Tom's Tavern, and they've made some changes. But this is still a fun spot for our casual girls nights!A few caveats: Tom's Tavern has a much smaller menu and no sangria. But we found lots of options on the new menu, and everything we ordered was delicious. I was happy to see they still have tater tots, and my girlfriends enjoyed their wings. Plus our server created a decadent cocktail for one of us with peanut butter whiskey, Bailey's & banana liqueur (a variation of an Elvis shot). We enjoyed tasting the first one so much that all of us ordered it next round! For my meal, I decided on the chicken tenders, which came with either potato salad or cole slaw, and choice of fries or tots. Unfortunately, the potato salad was served in a plastic container smaller than the dipping sauce cups. It was thick & tasty but I'm not sure why the portion size was so tiny! That aside, my tenders & tots were perfectly deep-fried, and I loved the house-made honey mustard & ranch sauces. This bar food is on point! Note, Tom's Tavern is suffering from a slim staff, as so many restaurants are. Luckily we were not in a hurry so we didn't mind. The two servers were definitely hustling all night, working all the tables.Tom's Tavern still hosts outstanding local live music. On our recent Friday night visit, JT Curtis & the Florida Scoundrels took the stage at 9pm for several long sets of mostly country music. This intimate venue is such a fun place to see talented musicians!Of course we'll return to Tom's Tavern. The location is convenient, plus they have tons of parking available in the plaza. The vibe is like a dive bar, but much cleaner & with better music.Edited to add the 5th star... Since posting this review, we have visited again. Service is still not speedy, but our food was delicious and our waitress remembered us & our custom cocktail!

Candice & Marcy are the BEST!! Crowd a lil sketchy but it's always a good time & DRP's play there a lot!! Kitchen staff needs to pay attention to the order a lot better!!! That is only issue ever had is the prep too dry or wrong sauce or don't sauce wings at all??? How does that even happen??

The good:Open mike night, each Wednesday evening. Great music, highly recommended. This is a safe, friendly bar. Much fun.The bad:Staff tries to change TV channel, but after 90 minutes admits defeat. Rather annoying if you want to see the World Series on the screen that is on your side of the bar. Management: can you PLEASE address this? Should be a simple fix.The ugly:Nothing, really. I'm there each Wednesday for the music. But: sports fans, don't set your expectations too high. What you see on the screen in front of you is what you are going to get.

Service is lacking if you sit at a table. Don't recommend running a tab, you'll end up with extra drinks on your tab at the end of the night. Live entertainment tends to be good.

Went and saw a poster on the wall that said pitcher of beer for 8.50 during all hockey games. Well Lightning were on and I had a pitcher. Finished and got my bill for 15.00. Pointed at the poster and the SERVERRRRRR said well thats what the register rang up. I disagreed with the bill and left. Never will go back to this place as it has really dropped in quality and up in prices.
