I moved up to Brandenburg, KY last year from Largo, FL. The people sucked and I hated the weather, but my god, the bars. THE BARS. A mere 5 minute walk in one direction would take me to a bar called Timeout. It was usual sports/college bar. Not my deal. However, with a little more effort by walking an extra 15 minutes in the opposite direction, I was brought to the holy land. The little dive was tucked away behind a Wendy's in a small strip housing an old chinese laundry and unused space on the other side. Dark and dingy, cheap drinks, grizzled and experienced drinkers. It was my wet dream. At the tentative age of 21 I made my first adventure in on Christmas day (my birthday is 8 days before). Yes, Christmas day. I slowly grabbed the door handle and pulled gently with cautious optimism. And lo' and behold. The place was open! I stepped inside and as the door closed behind me was met with near total darkness. As I stood in the opening allowing my eyes to adjust it all came into focus. One pool table, two dart boards side by side with hardly enough room between to play, a bar randomly running down the middle of the place, a small stage to my left, 15 older t.v.s haphazardly sitting on plywood shelves lined the walls just below the ceiling. And then there, the main bar. 20 or so stools sat around the old and beaten up wood. 5 men sat at the bar, all looking at me over their shoulder, scoffing at the boy who looked too young to be in their safe haven. I stepped up to the bar, brought out my ID and ordered a pitcher of Amberbock on draft. "$7.00" WHAT?! Shaking with joy at the low price I dished out my money with a couple extra bucks for the bartender and took a seat on my stool. It rocked in an unsteady way from 2 different legs missing their caps. I talked to the men there that day and drank on deep into the night until close. I started going back more and more until I was there 5-6 days out of the week. I became a regular, known by the 5 bartenders, all the other regulars who had been there for so much longer than I, and the owner. I was accepted into the inner circle. I would go in the afternoons and spend my day and night there, shelling out my hard earned cash to the place I had come to love. Buying drinks for my fellow drinkers and having the favor returned. I started bringing only the people I most trusted into the bar. I didn't want the wrong crowd in infecting my temple. When I finally moved away a few years later, they threw me a party that was too insane to have committed to memory. So many drunken nights and days spent there. Even if it was just myself and the bartender or a few others, we could sit and talk, or say nothing at all. Anything said or left unsaid was always the perfect thing at that moment. I always tried to avoid the karaoke nights which brought the crowd I hated but were the money making nights that allowed the place to stay open for the rest of us. I still miss this bar everyday. I'd go in on occasion to help out my bartenders and have some drinks, laugh at the show, and clean up the place afterwards so it would be ready for the real drinkers the next day. Now, sitting here in Kentucky where liquor is only served in the strip clubs in my area which are 30 minutes away, or Louisville which is nearly an hour. Alcohol isn't served at all in my county on Sundays, I grow more homesick for this place each day. Luckily I'm going back down next week for a month and will walk back in, meet the new regulars, and take my seat among my fellow drunkards and favorite bartenders from whom I've been too long removed. If any of you are ever in Largo, give this place a chance. You won't regret it.

I can't comment on the food as I don't think they serve food but they have a cigarette machine. Does that count as food? I think it was $12 a pack.Well if you don't like smoking, don't come here. We don't smoke and had to wash our clothes immediately and shower before bed. Was it worth it? Yes.It's an interesting mix of folks but the common thread is everyone wants a good time!! Our server was amazing!!I'm not sure if they have karaoke every night but they did on Friday and it was a hoot! We'll be back!!!

I have been coming to Tomfoolery Lounge for years and it's a nice place to unwind and relax. The bartenders are always kind and helpful to any needs. You can also smoke inside here so you're not a smoker or a fan of being around smoke, proceed with caution. Some days are a tad smokies than others. John Laidlaw is there Dj for kareoke on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9 pm to 1 a.m. He has a heart of gold just be respectful and you'll have no issues with anyone here. There is also free pool on Saturdays if you want to hang by the pool table or darts. I highly recommend this place as relaxing kareoke spot. Restrooms are also very clean and always taken care of.

I enjoy a good dive bar and karaoke, however my impression of this place was not good. Bad element hanging outside doing drug deals right out in the open, clearly obvious sketched out guy roaming the inside tweeted out. The guy seemed like a regular as everyone knew him, happily handing out his little baggies. I left

Hello Gents,I came here on Oct 4th, 2018. I was denied service tonight by a older Ladie with blonde hair and blue jean shorts. When I entered this establishment I put the customary beat of $1 on the pool table to show I was next. She said I aggressively placed the quarters down, after the current game was over. To choose a pool stick. I rolled the sticks on the table to see which one was straight. I asked for a drink an was then cut off. Only for what I could believe was my opposed views on our presidency, since that was the topic of conversation at the table that she was so interested in listening to. I am saddened by the way this establishment treats their community and veterans. My advice is to relinquish the bartender of her powers and provide the community and veterans the services their due.

Cool little neighborhood bar. Drinks aren't expensive and still made right. Bar staff is attentive if you're a regular or a first timer. Karaoke is on Tues., Thurs., Fri., and Sat nights, usually starting at 9PM and running until 12 or 1AM depending on how many people are singing. I'd you're into karaoke the KJ has a wide variety of music and can usually find anything he doesn't have. Tuesday's and Thursday's are pretty slow for karaoke so swing by on the weekend if you want to sing and you won't be one of a handful of a people singing. They have 2 dart boards, a pool table, and a Touchtunes jukebox. You can smoke in the bar. No food served here. If you're looking for a dive to grab a few drinks at after work or when you're low on funds, you've found the place.

I have been a regular here at Toms for a few months now, the service is above exceptional. It's a great bar to hang out after work, and the bartenders actually care. Courtney is my regular bartender and she is absolutely amazing. Always a fun, loving attitude and is willing to go above and beyond. This place has done a complete turnaround and is now my regular "go-to bar"!

Great hidden little gem in the area! The staff is wonderfully personable and accommodating. I left my wallet there on very intoxicated night and didn't realize for 2 full days and when I called they knew exactly what I was referring to. They had kept it aside and safe and completely untouched!! You can't buy that kind of service. You have a customer for life!! 10000000/10 if I could lol!!
