Was leaving Tampa on a road trip back home and looking for a spot on the way out of town. Looked up "Cuban Sandwich" and Todo Rico popped up! We figured why not take the exit and venture off the beaten path! Glad we did... AMAZING! I wish we had a spot like this on Houston! Food is so good I'm writing this while eating. I ordered the Cuban #1 it was so good, better than any other kind I've had. The service was fantastic, the place was spotless and great music playing.

What a phenomenal experience. The food was absolutely delicious. Would recommend to take the food to go as the dining area is pretty small. My favorite dishes:1. The Hawaiian arepa, I was reluctant before trying it but once you try it you'll be thankful you ordered it. 2. Arepa con bistec, it seems like you can't go wrong with the arepas at my experience was amazing 2 out 2.3. Colombian hotdog, this was actually my first time trying a Colombian hotdog. Not sure if they all taste this good but I doubt it! This hot dog was just packed with flavor! The only somewhat negative thing is that I didn't have much more space in my stomach to try other items after finishing it (not at all a bad thing!)

Good for what it is.Precious and I had a hankerin' for some Honduran food. She googled it and found a Honduran restaurant, but when we got there, it didn't open until 4 p.m. We had to catch a flight. Bummer. But this place was right next door. We never had Colombian food so we were down for this. This is what Precious would call a "hole-in-the-wall". It's a nice hole in the wall though. It's a very small restaurant. It has a few tables and a counter. A big television behind the counter was playing a concert of Juan Luis Guerra, a Dominican musician. You can eat in or take out. The first guy we met was a young, handsome bearded dude. He was nice. He gave us some menus and then later came by our table to take our order. They have a big enough menu to make anyone happy. Precious got something I forgot what it was. It was a tortilla which I think had cheese inside covered with something almost like chicken salad. For drinks they have your standard sodas and juices but also have tamarind, mango juice and other southern drinks.

Went there again! They were serving Ajico (a typical plate in Bogota,Colombia)as their specialty dish for a Saturday. It was my first time trying it and I loved it! The Ajiaco is a creamy soup with shredded chicken and potato, it also comes with rice, corn on the cob and avocado.

Todo Rico Sandwich Shop is a Colombian restaurant located on Armenia Ave (next to Honduras Restaurant). You could very easily drive by it without noticing it but that's what makes this place a "hidden gem". The lovely owner told me they have been in business for 3 years, which was surprising to me as they only have 2 reviews and the place looked new and clean...TGH would be proud of how clean it is. This place should have 100 reviews. C'mon Yelpers! The restaurant is very "bonito", as my Colombian friend described it after showing her pictures. The walls are adorned with floral artwork, fresh flowers on the counter (I think they were real?), about 6 two seater tables, as well as counter seating, where I sat. She spoke to me in Spanish and presented me the Spanish version of the menu, which was fine. After realizing I might not be Latino, she offered me one of the menus in English but I told her it wasn't necessary. I asked the lady what she recommends and she suggested the Cuban sandwich or bistec sandwich. I didn't want to get a Cuban at a Colombian restaurant so I got the bistec sandwich and a jugo de moro con leche (moro juice with milk). Whoa! What a surprise when she brought out the glass, it was nearly a foot high. It was very good although it does have somewhat of a tart flavor. She brought out the bistek sandwich about 15 minutes later. It is pressed on Cuban bread, sliced diagonally, with onions, mustard, mayonaise and lettuce (I declined the tomatoes). Very tasty and filling! Total cost for the sandwich and jugo de muro was $12. The bistek sandwich was one the most expensive items on the menu though. They serve variety of items for breakfast, lunch and dessert. They have some sandwiches and arepas as cheap for under $3!!! (see picture of English menu...arepas=corncakes). I heard through the Colombian grapevine that the Cholado (dessert) is the best that can be found anywhere. So next time I will order that and report back. This restaurant will be added to my lunch rotation...5 stars! FYI: They close at 6pm daily (closed on Sundays).
