TJ's Bar

We are not from the area. We live in dade city but my wife and I were were looking for a bar with darts and pool. We googled bars and ended up walking into Sullivans but immediately walked out. I remembered on our way there we passed TJs so we decided to turn around and go back. I'm glad we did! First of all, it's a dive and that's exactly what we wanted. Probably only 7 people sitting at the bar and they all kept to themselves. Heidi the bartender was so sweet and her drinks were on point. She's got a great pour and personality. My wife and I played darts for hours. You'll walk out smelling like smoke and that's just fine with me cause it was just the atmosphere we were looking for. I love little dive bars like this, don't pass this one up. It's a gem.

Stopped in on our way to another business. This place is huge. Huge bar to sit at or a lot of tables if you'd rather. Ordered our beer and sat back to watch one of MANY tv's. They have pool tables and video games. Male/Female restrooms. $10 minimum on credit cards. Bartender was really nice. She was always checking on our drinks to see if we needed a refill. When we were ready she got us a fresh cold glass and poured our choices. When it came time to leave we paid our under $14 tab and left a tip. This place has it going on. Some nice choices of beer on tap. Guinness included. Nothing to eat but they do have a sign on the wall of a place that will deliver food to you. I am sure you can order something and have it delivered or bring in your food if you'd rather. The only downer (but I didn't mark it off in stars because you judge this kind of bar against this kind of bar) is they allow smoking indoors. I am getting used to this since we have been here about a year but I don't understand why people can't just go outside to smoke. It is always nice outside and it would keep the entire joint from smelling like an old dead cigarette. Ugh. But, they offer specials everyday and they treat you right. We will be back.

We used to go there all the time, but haven't in about 3 years because of our daughter and the indoor smoking. The owner, Tom, is very nice and accommodating. They have pool tables, darts, more TV's than you could imagine. They will put on whatever game you want. Fun place to hang out for football season.
